Toronto Pastor charged with sex assault

Well on a slightly positive note, he was also charged with a non-related sex charge.

A Toronto man (from Cameroon) whose two charities were stripped of their charitable status for providing falsified bank statements to the Canada Revenue Agency was also recently sentenced for sexual assault for inappropriately touching a teen.

Daniel Mokwe, who calls himself ‘reverend’ and runs a church, was arrested on Oct. 18, 2008 after a teenaged girl complained, said Det. Richard Petrie of Toronto Police Service.

He spent two nights in prison and, on Jan. 13, 2011, was sentenced to time served and two years’ probation, said Petrie.

The incident did not happen at the church, said Petrie, adding that the victim knew Mokwe was a pastor. “She said she lost her faith in church and doesn’t go (to church) any longer,” said Petrie.

Mokwe refused to answer any questions. “I don’t want to talk to you anymore,” he told a Star reporter over the phone.

Operation Save Canada’s Teenagers and Revival Time Ministries International, both run by Daniel Mokwe, lost their charitable status on Jan. 8 and Jan. 15, respectively.

The federal revenue agency said neither charity spent donations of more than $3.7 million on charitable activities.

In scathing audits, the CRA said the two charities falsified bank statements and did not give a complete record of donation receipts. The federal agency also reported discrepancies in receipts made available to its auditors and said the charities dithered over many requests to provide records.

CRA investigators say there is no proof the money was for used for charitable purposes.

In an earlier interview, Mokwe said that he is appealing the revocations in Federal Court.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for CRA would not say if Mokwe is being investigated further because of privacy laws.

“CRA takes non-compliance seriously,” said Béatrice Fénelon in an email. “If fraud is uncovered, those suspected of fraud may face serious consequences which include criminal charges, monetary penalties, and, for charities, the loss of registered status with a corresponding revocation tax.”

Const. Tony Vella of Toronto Police said its fraud division is not investigating Mokwe or his two charities at this time.

Bronx Pastor charged with raping teen girl

A Bronx minister was arrested and charged with rape on Friday after reportedly having sex with a parishioner, a girl from the time she was 12 years old according to prosecutors.

The minister named Michael Clare is a 38 year-old head of the Harvest Worship Center in Wakefield. It’s now said that the girl who is 15 years old is pregnant.

On June 14 of last year Clare was arrested on second-degree rape charges but it wasn’t until Friday that a Grand Jury moved the charges to first-degree rape charges.

The Jamaican born Clare was a child prodigy preacher who became a pastor at the age of 26 according to data gleaned from his MySpace page that also shows videos and pictures of him preaching and promoting him as a stand up person.

He is now being held in lieu of $50,000 bond.

Pastor accused of fondling girl

Church Pastor is accused of fondling girl

A Brooksville resident and area church pastor was arrested Wednesday, accused of touching a girl between the ages of 12 and 16 in a lewd and lascivious manner, a Hernando County Sheriff's Office report said. Jason Allen Roberts, 36, pastor of Christian Fellowship Church in Dade City, was charged with a felony, according to the report. Authorities interviewed the girl in January after she disclosed an incident to her boyfriend. During the interview, she said that in 2006 Roberts fondled her, authorities said. The report said Roberts admitted the act to his wife, to other family members and to members of his church, all of whom authorities interviewed. No one answered at the phone number listed for the church Wednesday. 1/27/11: "Pastor of Dade City church accused of fondling girl"

Methodist Pastor arrested for soliciting a young girl

Pastor Kenneth Kleckner of West Ocala United Methodist Church was arrested Friday and faces one charge of soliciting a minor for sex. He will also face five counts of transmitting harmful material to a minor.

Over the past month, Mr. Kleckner engaged in an online relationship with someone whom he thought was an underage female. Instead, the girl was an Orange County Sexual Offender Squad detective.

Investigators said Kleckner was not secretive about his occupation with the person he met online, however it appears no one in his circle of friends or the church was aware of his alleged online activities.

Detective Philip Graves said the case started in May. Over that time, he solicited the 'teen' several times and exposed his genital area on a live cam numerous times.

The father of four was arrested and booked into the Marion County jail, said Graves.

Graves said Kleckner admitted to chatting with individuals for years, at home, the church and when he was out with his family.

Woman hangs and burns dog who chewed Bible

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Authorities have charged a South Carolina woman with felony animal cruelty, saying she hanged her nephew's pit bull from a tree with an electrical cord and burned its body because the dog chewed on her Bible.

Animal control officers said Monday that 65-year-old Miriam Smith told them she killed a female dog named Diamond because it was a "devil dog" and she worried it could harm neighborhood children. Authorities said bond wasn't immediately set for Smith, who remains jailed in Spartanburg County after her weekend arrest.

Officials said she didn't have an attorney yet.

She faces 180 days to five years in prison if convicted.

Authorities say the remains of the dog were found under a pile of grass with part of an electrical cord around its neck.

Church Leader arrested for sexual assault of teen girl

A Cambridge Young Life leader accused of sexually assaulting a teenager also worked as a substitute teacher.

Fifty-four-year-old Mark Holm was arrested Wednesday and is charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct. Holm is the director of Minnesota’s East Central Chapter of Young Life, an international Christian ministry group aimed at teenagers.

The Cambridge-Isanti School District confirmed Friday that Holm is also currently working as a K-12 substitute teacher at the school. School leaders issued a statement saying, “The safety and security for our students at Cambridge-Isanti is our main concern. Our thoughts go out to those involved.”

School leaders say Holm will remain an employee until the investigation is complete.

Holm is accused of assaulting a young person who attended Young Life. 5 EYEWITNESS News has learned the alleged victim is a 17-year-old girl from Cambridge-Isanti High School. Police have not said whether they believe other people may have been victimized.

Court documents allege Holm and the teen had been text messaging back and forth, often sending naked pictures of each other. The documents also allege the two had talked about running away together, getting married, even creating a suicide pact.

The teen’s parents called police after discovering some of those text messages. The girl claims she tried to end her relationship with Holm at one point, but says he wouldn’t let her.

Young Life issued a statement Friday morning saying, “We are deeply saddened to learn of allegations against Mark Holm, a Young Life staff member in Cambridge, MN. Mr. Holm has been placed on immediate administrative leave. Young Life expects to cooperate fully with authorities in their investigation of the case.”

Holm was held on $500,000 bail with no conditions, or $100,000 bail with conditions.

The case remains under investigation.

Lutheran Pastor arrested for sexually abusing 12 year old girl

WESTGATE, Iowa – A Fayette county magistrate this afternoon set bond at $40,000 for a Westgate pastor charged in Fayette County with sex crimes after a week-long investigation.

Timothy E. Parker, 40, of Westgate, has been charged with two counts of lascivious acts with a minor and one count of third-degree sexual abuse. According to the Fayette County sheriff’s office, the victim is a 12-year-old girl who is now 13.

Parker, the pastor at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Westgate, was arrested Wednesday after an “intense” investigation and a search of his home, authorities said. He was taken to the Fayette County Jail.

According to the church’s website, Parker has been the pastor at St. Peter’s since September 2001.

Fayette County investigators were reviewing some of the evidence, but may seek assistance from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force in Cedar Rapids.

The magistrate told Parker that if convicted, he faces a prison term of up to 10 years on each count. He requested, and was granted, a court-appointed attorney.

A preliminary hearing in the case is set for Aug. 25. The magistrate will also issue a no-contact order between Parker and his accuser.

Police say the incident took place in early June 2009. According to court documents, Parker had the girl undress and lay on a bed at her home, where he fondled her and rubbed hand lotion on her.

Parker admitted his involvement in the incident, according to investigators.

Investigators also say Parker performed a sex act on the same child June 9.

The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Fayette County sheriff’s office.

Muslim convert to Christianity arrested on major Fraud

He left the truth (though one coming from Pakistan can't be blamed for leaving Islam. Terrorism, Westernization, flat out stupidity etc) and Satan took over. And he wasn't no ordinary Christian. He was a CHURCH OFFICIAL!

CHINO -- The arrest of an Ontario man accused of embezzling hundreds of thousands of dollars from church coffers has shocked and angered the Calvary Chapel Chino Hills community.
Police in late December arrested Farrukh Ahmed, 47, at his Doral Avenue home on suspicion of felony burglary and embezzlement charges.
The FBI, which is investigating the theft, reported that between $720,000 and $960,000 was stolen over four years, Calvary Chapel pastor Jack Hibbs said.
"He was actually caught by one of our staff members with cash in hand," Hibbs said.
Hibbs announced the loss on Dec. 27 to the congregation.
"They were shocked and disheartened and they were very tearful," Hibbs said. "They felt very violated."
The Chino Police Department was initially contacted by Ahmed on April 17 about theft and embezzlement of church money, Chino spokeswoman Michelle Van Der Linden said. Ahmed had been a church administrator.
"At that time, there was no suspect information available, and the subsequent investigation did not yield any leads," Van Der Linden said.
Hibbs said evidence included tithe envelopes that were found to have been opened.
Hibbs on Dec. 8 notified the Police Department that Ahmed might have been responsible for the theft of church funds reported in April.
The subsequent investigation led to Ahmed's arrest.
Ahmed joined Calvary Chapel about 12 years ago and regularly attended services, Hibbs said.
Ahmed, who was born and raised in Pakistan, was a Muslim who emigrated to the United States in the 1980s. He converted to Christianity at Calvary Chapel where he became a church administrator four years ago, Hibbs said.
Ahmed had been a manager at retail stores in the area, Hibbs said. He is married and has children, Hibbs said.
"On the surface, he was very diligent and very conscientious, and he was the kind of man that would quickly gain your trust," Hibbs said. "He was hardworking and always on the ball."
Church member Mike Goody of Chino said fellow Calvary Chapel members are praying for justice.
"As a Christian, we pray we forgive him for what he did ... but ultimately we seek justice," Goody said.
The San Bernardino County District Attorney's Office has not filed charges against Ahmed. He is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 25, according to online court records.
The Calvary Chapel Chino Hills, which is in Chino has 7,000 adult members.

Church leader arrested for sexually assaulting 14 year old girl

Warrant: Suspect Said He’d Prepare Girl For Boyfriend

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- A Greenville church administrator is accused of having sex with a 14-year-old girl while the teen was a guest in his home last year.

Dantae Stukes, 29, is charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor. The arrest warrant states that between March 1 and May 30, 2009, Stukes convinced the victim to "allow him to engage in sexual intercourse with her in an effort for him to show her what to expect from her boyfriend in the future."

Sgt. Jason Rampey with the Greenville Police Department said the teenager was staying with the Stukes family while her parents were out of town.

"At the time that this happened, she was 14 years of age and that is not the age of consent," Rampey said.

Rampey said the teenager waited nearly a year to report what happened to police.

"In many cases, as in this case, when something like this happens, the victim thinks that they've done something wrong and they are afraid to speak to their parents or teachers or guardian about that," he said.

Last month, on April 13, the teen was at the emergency room for an unrelated incident. That's when police say she reported the sexual assault involving Stukes.

"It's very serious when you think of a person who is a custodian, a person of authority that you entrust your child to stay with in their home," Rampey told WYFF. "It's very concerning that this person would take advantage of this victim."

Greenville attorney Karl Allen is representing Stukes. Allen issued this statement to WYFF:

"Mr. Stukes is an upstanding citizen. The allegations, in our opinion, are not credible and are very old. He looks forward to demonstrating his innocence in a court of law."

But then... he was charged:

Former Pastor arrested in custody case

John David Boggs, a controversial former pastor and roofing contractor, was arrested Wednesday in Bullitt County for allegedly violating a court order regarding his children's custody — an order his lawyer says he was never served.

Boggs, 36, pleaded not guilty in Bullitt District Court to one count of custodial interference, a class D felony under state law. He was released from the Bullitt County Detention Center on Thursday on a cash bond of $10,000 and is scheduled for a court appearance on Monday, according to the court clerk.
The case stems from a dispute between Boggs and his estranged wife, Christel Helm-Boggs, now of Texas, who have each filed for divorce and for custody of the children in separate courts.
Boggs was arrested at his Shepherdsville home on a warrant for allegedly violating an order of the 378th Judicial District in Ellis County, Texas, granting custody of the couple's three children to his estranged wife. The arresting officer, Sgt. Charles Mann of Bullitt County Sheriff's Office, said in the citation that Boggs refused to answer the door and that the officer forced entry out of concern for the safety of the children.
Boggs' lawyer, Greg Butrum, said the case involved "the most meritless criminal charges I have ever seen" and predicted a quick dismissal.
He said Boggs had never been served the custody order from Texas so Boggs cannot be held liable for violating such an order.
Butrum said Boggs recently filed his own divorce action in Bullitt County and also filed a petition in Jefferson Circuit Court for custody of the couple's three children, aged 4, 7 and 11.
According to that filing, Helm-Boggs took the children last summer with her to Texas, where her family lives. Boggs took the three children back to Kentucky in December, and Helm-Boggs took their daughter back to Texas over the New Year's holiday, according to the filing. Butrum said his understanding is that the mother headed home for Texas with the sons after Boggs' arrest.
"It's a family tragedy," Butrum said.
(2 of 2)
Boggs was formerly pastor of New Vision Ministry Center, affiliated with the Church of God, a Cleveland, Tenn.-based Pentecostal denomination. He spent several years attempting to build a large church using unconventional high-energy worship and sermon themes based on popular culture, including a move to the former Walmart on the Outer Loop.

Boggs was dismissed as pastor in June 2010 by the church for unspecified reasons that Boggs acknowledged involved family issues. His Jefferson County filing says the couple experienced marital troubles that month from which they have not recovered.
Before his dismissal, his church and denomination had stood by Boggs despite repeated accusations of unseemly business practices throughout the South and Midwest, where he had set up roofing operations that capitalized on large volumes of business following hail storms, tornadoes and hurricanes. He and his companies drew repeated lawsuits, fines and other complaints from customers, business associates and regulatory officials.
Both Boggs and New Vision Ministry Center wound up filing for federal bankruptcy. Boggs and his wife restructured payments on millions in liabilities to tax authorities and private entities in a case completed last year.
The church has listed about $1.8 million in debts in a case filed in September, mainly to contractors and others associated with the short-lived Walmart project. The congregation reconstituted as Outer Loop Church of God and moved back to its original location about two miles east of the Walmart site.

Palestinian Pastor arrested for sexually assaulting 12 year old girl

Now hold on, this isn't the Palestine we're all thinking of. It's Palestine, TEXAS. Which reminds me of a little connection. Rob Spencer of JihadWatch posted an article about an Imaam murdering his wife and kids then killing himself. However what Spencer failed to realise was that "Imaam" is a SURNAME in THAT PART of Pakistan (some tribal thing). It was not an Imaam that gives sermons and leads prayers. Silly Robert Spencer and his usage of Philippians 1:18 (which is lying, cheating, and decieving for Christ).

PALESTINE — A 68-year-old Anderson County man who claims to have been a preacher for more than a half century has been arrested and charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Larry Gene Martin, 68, of Palestine was arrested without incident around 1:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 14 at his residence in the 800 block of CR 367 by sheriff's deputy Ted Linam, according to Anderson County Sheriff Greg Taylor.

Authorities say Martin, who has told authorities he began preaching at age 16, sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl on multiple occasions between July 2009 and December 2009.

Taylor said his agency was first contacted concerning the allegations "a few months ago," with sheriff's investigator Lee Duren obtaining a warrant for Martin's arrest on Thursday.

The sheriff said Martin, who has no previous criminal history, moved in with the girl's family following the death of his wife.

Martin was pastor at Faith Bible Church which met in a house in the Brushy Creek area during the time of the allegations, according to Taylor.

"They (the family) allowed him to move in," Taylor said. "These incidents occurred multiple times during that period of time."

The sheriff said authorities believe the suspect allegedly sexually assaulted the young girl "between five and 10" times, including intercourse.

On Friday, Taylor told the Herald-Press he was uncertain whether the church remained in existence.

Martin has been "somewhat cooperative" during interviews, according to the sheriff, telling investigators he began preaching at age 16; was "ordained" in 1963; and has pastored a total of nine churches over the past 52 years, stretching from Houston-to-East Texas.

In addition to Palestine and Houston, Taylor said Martin has indicated he pastored churches in Porter, Splendora, Longview, Pittsburg and Gilmer.

"We're worried these other little churches he's pastored," the sheriff said, "there's other victims...If there are other victims, they should contact the Anderson County Sheriff's Office."

As of late Friday afternoon, Martin remained in the Anderson County Jail in lieu of a $75,000 bond set by Anderson County Justice of the Peace James Todd.

Perverted Church Leader spared jail time over sex abuse charges

A PERVERTED church elder who tied up and sexually abused children was hugged by his wife in court yesterday after he was spared a jail sentence.

Graeme Jackson, a Boys’ Brigade superintendent who also helped out at a church’s Sunday School, was convicted of abusing one child over several years by tying him up naked with ropes, pinning him to the ground and plying him with alcohol.

The 67-year-old sex fiend, who even volunteered with the ChildLine charity, also told two kids to lie naked in a bed together as he gave them sex education, Paisley Sheriff Court was told.

Jackson, from Houston, denied the accusations against him but a jury found him guilty of two out of three charges after a trial.

Instead of being locked up, he has been ordered to carry out community service.

A boy and a girl who were abused by Jackson in the 1980s but who cannot be named for legal reasons went to the police as adults two years ago to report the incidents, sparking enquiries which led to his prosecution.

Sentence had been deferred for background reports and risk and community service assessments to be prepared.

And, when Jackson returned to court yesterday to learn his fate, Sheriff Carol Kelly was told he posed a low risk of re-offending.

Sheriff Kelly also learned that Jackson, who served on the Children’s Panel, was still in complete denial and was unable to accept the verdict.

Jackson was convicted of using lewd and libidinous practices towards his victims between 1987 and 1988 and of involving the boy in a similar course of conduct on various occasions between 1983 and 1991 at his home in Houston.

Sheriff Kelly was told that Jackson’s wife and other members of his family were standing by him.

When the accused and his supporters discovered he was not being locked up, they hugged each other in court.

Jackson had been told that, due to the serious nature of the offences, he would be placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register for three years – the same term as the probation order put in place to provide supervision and address issues raised by the court case and conviction.

Sheriff Kelly said she had to balance the serious nature of the charges, which involve sexual offences against young people, with the fact that Jackson was a first offender.

She also took into account the fact that the offences happened “a long time ago”.

After studying reports, as well as submissions from Jackson’s defence agent, Sheriff Kelly decided that custody could be avoided.

She stressed the sentence being handed out was “no easy option” and ordered Jackson to carry out 240 hours of community service.

Sheriff Kelly added that, in order to monitor progress and make sure Jackson was complying with the community service order, she would call him back to court for regular reviews.

The first of these reviews will take place on December 1.

Another youth Church Leader jailed for sexual misconduct

Look how the judge in the great secular-but-very-Christian nation of America favored Christianity. What happened to congress shall not make establishemtn of religion or whatever?

A former youth leader at Gateway Christian Fellowship Church in West Haven today was sentenced to nine months in prison on a sexual assault charge stemming from a sexual affair with a 14-year-old member of the church.

Over the course of months Deon Ross, now 23, engaged in sexual activity with the young church member, leading to his second-degree sexual assault conviction, a prosecutor said. The relationship was described as “consensual” in the arrest warrant affidavit, but the legal age of consent in Connecticut is 16.

Church officials contacted police in May 2009 after another young member of the church alerted them that something was going on between Ross and the victim, the arrest warrant affidavit says. Police arrested Ross in June 2009.

Ross, wearing a khaki-colored jacket and dark pants at Superior Court in Milford, sobbed lightly as Superior Court Judge Eddie Rodriguez Jr. imposed a sentenced of five years in prison to be suspended after he serves nine months with 10 years probation. He also will have to register as a sex offender for 10 years and undergo any sex-offender treatment and counseling the Office of Adult Probation deems necessary.

The judge told Ross he should be thankful the victim’s father offered Ross his forgiveness.

“You are very fortunate that the father said, on behalf of his daughter, in a very Christian way, said, he has forgiven you to get on with your life,” Rodriguez said.

Co-Leader of Church arrested for raping 15 year old girl

This is why the hundreds of millions of Christians who claim they saw Jesus and stuff can lead to bad things (that includes a number of 'ex-Muslims' (Walid Shoebat, Kamal Saleem, Ergun Caner, Nabeel Quereshi and that Pakistani woman I can't remember the name of).

The co-leader of a Fromberg church that fled Utah and Idaho before landing in Montana and believes one of its leaders is the Holy Ghost and the father of Jesus Christ was arrested Wednesday morning on a rape warrant out of Utah.

The U.S. Marshals Service arrested Geody M. Harman, 37, before noon in Fromberg without incident, acting Montana U.S. Marshal Rod Ostermiller said. Harman was arrested on a $250,007 warrant out of the 3rd District Court in Salt Lake City. He is charged with felony first-degree rape.

The charging documents allege that Harman raped a then-15-year-old girl in Utah sometime between 2005 and 2006. The documents say that Harman, who is the First Counsel of the Holy Ghost of the Church of the Firstborn of the General Assembly of Heaven, “had an impression from God that (the girl) was to have sex” with him.

The girl told investigators that another church leader, Terrill Dalton, encouraged her to do so because Harman was God. She reported that she had sex with Harman once “because she believed she would be blessed.”

The U.S. Marshals Service received a warrant for Harman from Salt Lake on Tuesday night.

“Due to the nature of the crime and the bond amount set, this is obviously somebody who was a priority,” Ostermiller said.

Harman was booked into the Yellowstone County Detention Facility and is being held on a $250,007 bond.

An arrest warrant for Dalton, 43, the church’s president, was issued out of the Salt Lake court charging him with two felony counts of first-degree rape. Ostermiller said officers went into Fromberg planning to arrest both men but only found Harman.

Dalton is accused of raping the same girl as Harman once after telling her “that if she had sex with him three times, (she) would be blessed,” according to the affidavit. He allegedly also said God wanted them to do so.

In a March interview with The Gazette, Dalton said the church had different views about about sex but that “what happens between adults is not my business” as long as it’s not against the law.

The church, which was profiled in a March 26, 2010, Gazette article, began moving to Fromberg from outside of Pocatello, Idaho, in September 2009.

They initially fled to Idaho from a Salt Lake City suburb after federal and local law enforcement officials raided their headquarters to investigate claims of child sexual abuse and alleged assassination threats against President Barack Obama, former President George W. Bush and the president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Thomas S. Monson.

The church left Idaho in the fall of 2009 after the Shoshone and Bannock Indian tribes rejected its plans to build a large housing building on the Fort Hall Reservation.

“We all prayed about where to go next, and a lot of people had the same feeling that we ought to go to Montana, somewhere nigh unto Billings, not the city, but nearby,” Dalton said in March.

Harman estimated that there were 16 members who moved to two homes in Fromberg. There were about 30 members in Idaho and an estimated 50 when the church was located in Utah.

Dalton said that he grew up as a member of the LDS church and began receiving spiritual messages that its leaders had drifted from its core principals.

He said that in 2004, he received a revelation to start a new church and, a short time later, had a vision of Jesus Christ that told him he is the Holy Ghost and the father of Jesus Christ.

Former Church youth Leader sentenced on rape charges

A former Post Falls church youth leader could be out of custody in about six months after being sentenced Thursday for three counts of statutory rape.

Jordan C. Vernon, 20, was sentenced by Kootenai County District Court Judge John Mitchell to three consecutive sentences of two to six years.

But Mitchell retained jurisdiction over the case, which means he will go to the North Idaho Correctional Institute in Cottonwood for treatment.

The judge will hold a hearing in about six months to decide if Vernon should be released on probation or sent to prison in Boise, where he could stay for as long as 18 years.

Vernon was accused of having sex with at least two girls, ages 14 and 17, and of having inappropriate contact with at least two others, ages 12 and 14, from 2007 to 2009. Police say he met and began grooming the girls for sex while serving as a youth leader in training at Real Life Ministries in Post Falls.

He was arrested in December on charges of sexual battery of a minor child under the age of 16, lewd conduct with a minor child under the age of 16 and statutory rape for having sexual intercourse with a child under 18, among other charges, news reports say.

The week after his arrest, another teenager came forward claiming to also have been victimized by Vernon.

A statement from the church at the time of Vernon’s arrest said he had been dismissed from his volunteer positions in July 2008. Church records showed that he had not attended the church since November 2008.

Church Leader jailed for raping girl

And look he was the captain of the salvation army, a Christian group that recieves donations from mosques. Pitful and disgusting.

Harare — A Salvation Army Church captain has been jailed 13 years effective for raping an Upper Six pupil who was left in his custody by her parents.

Captain Anderson Chipiro (40), who was employed as an administrator at the church-run school outside Bulawayo, pleaded not guilty to the charges when his trial opened before Harare regional magistrate Mr Daniel Shonhiwa.

The court, however, convicted him on the basis of overwhelming evidence. Mr Shonhiwa sentenced Chipiro to 17 years in jail but suspended four years on condition of good behaviour. In passing sentence Mr Shonhiwa said he took into account Chipiro's personal circumstances.

"In aggravation the State submitted that accused breached the trust bestowed on him by the complainant's father." The victim, he added, regarded Chipiro as a guardian. "May I also add that accused also breached the trust, which, the church . . . bestowed on him," he said.

Mr Shonhiwa said what was disturbing was the fact that cases of sexual abuse involving religious leaders were on the increase.

"Some are of the view that morality is the key to gospel in all religious circles and it becomes disheartening for pastors to be on the fore-front in cases of sexual abuse." He said Chipiro sadly forgot to properly look after flock as a school administrator.

Prosecutor Mrs Joyce Fusire proved that on November 8 2008 at about 12 midnight the complainant was sleeping in a bedroom at Chipiro's house.

He entered the bedroom where the girl was sleeping and sneaked into her blankets. Chipiro who was already wearing a condom clamped the girl's mouth before raping her. The matter came to light after the girl's father quizzed her about her multiple illnesses and depression.

Pastor arrested for failing to register as Level 2 Sex Offender

Pastor Scott Lively does not like lesbians and gays, but it appears that he has no problem with straight pedophiles such as Michael Frediani, the now likely former manager of Holy Grounds Coffee Shop in Springfield, Mass. Frediani was a volunteer manager of the coffee shop, which apparently took donations but did not actually charge for their coffee. He was arrested and jailed in New York for the sexual abuse of an eleven year old girl in 1995, according to the police, who have since arrested him for failing to register as a Level 2 sex offender in Springfield. Frediani also lived in an apartment above the store. Lively is denying that he knew that Frediani was a sex offender, but given the youth appeal of his coffee shop, that just proves that he is remiss in not checking on those who volunteer or work for his store.

Frediani has claimed that he is a Born Again Christian and a ‘minister of Jesus’, but also knew that he could be caught for not registering in Massachusetts as a sex offender and gave his name as Michael Free during an interview last week. He is currently being held in the Springfield police lock-up. In New York he is listed as a Level 3 sex offender which is someone who is considered to be the most likely to be a repeat offender. He moved to Springfield on 1 January.

In 1996, he was convicted of sexual abuse in the first degree and aggravated sexual abuse in the second degree by a court in New York. The offense was described by the New York police as “deviate sexual intercourse”.

Fredani told reporters last week that “I talk to all the kids. We have a place that is safe. The presence of God is here right now. I invite God to touch them and he does.” Roughly thirty youth tend to be in the shop at any given time, and it has become a haven for truants.

Lively, for his part, has been more upset over the characterization of him as being anti-gay, and a hate monger. His organization is listed as a hate group by the SPLC.

He told Mass Live:

“I was not aware that he is a sex offender or that he was arrested. This is the first I heard of it. I’ve only known him a few months. He strikes me as a very kind and gentle and honorable man.”

“That’s the beauty of the salvation of Christ. When you come to Jesus Christ, and you accept his forgiveness for your sins, then you are forgiven by Him and enter a new life. It doesn’t surprise me that he had a rough past, that he has a criminal record.”

“On Feb. 1, 1986, I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ and completely healed and transformed.”

Lively did not do a criminal background check on Fredani, and it is not clear if he even knew that the man’s last name was Fredani and not Free. Lively may also now want to consider the fact that he put the lives of many young girls in danger
because he allowed a convicted sexual predator access to them.

Pastor charged with domestic violence on Wife

LAKE WORTH — The pastor of a historic Delray Beach church has been arrested on charges of domestic battery.

Howard Barr, 39, pastor of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 46 S.W. 10th Ave., was booked late Monday night, jail records show.

Barr was released on his own recognizance shortly before 10 Tuesday. He was to have no contact with his wife, Joyce, upon his release, an official said.

According to a Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office report, deputies went to Barr's home around 9:25 p.m. Monday in the Lake Charleston neighborhood west of Lake Worth after Joyce Barr called 911 to say her husband had assaulted her.

Arriving deputies found Howard Barr in the street.

The report said Barr and his wife were arguing when she came home that evening, and as she tried to get out of her Lincoln Navigator, he blocked her exit. Joyce Barr said that as she tried to walk past her husband, he pushed her against the vehicle. She said she ran past him into the street, shouting, "get away from me and don't touch me."

After speaking to Howard Barr, his wife and their son, deputies arrested Barr, the report said.

Youth Pastor arrested for 9 counts of rape

A Weber County youth pastor has been arrested and booked on suspicion of nine counts of rape after a three-month investigation into his relationship with a teenage girl from his flock.

Roy Police Chief Greg Whinham said Wednesday that Aaron Witcher, also known locally as “Pastor Soulja,” allegedly began having sex with the then-15-year-old girl sometime this past summer. The investigation began in early August, after a Roy police officer found the two in a parked car and became suspicious.

“He was found with the victim sitting in a car in an parking lot. The officer made contact, established who they said they were — that this was supposed to be an association of a pastor with a ‘troubled teen’ issue,” Whinham said. “Still, the situation gave the officer enough concern that it was passed on to our investigation division to do a follow-up.”

Whinham did not reveal specifics for the officer’s suspicions but said a subsequent investigation produced admissions by the pair that their relationship was sexual.

“[Other] disclosures led to a search warrant being served on [Witcher’s] home Nov. 4 for computers and computer files,” Whinham said.

He would not say specifically that investigators were looking for child pornography, but the chief did confirm that, “Everything we seized went to the FBI’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force lab.”

Whinham balked at describing the relationship between Witcher and the girl as consensual. “When you are dealing with a predator — a pastor, a teacher or a policeman for that matter — and you are 15, you are going to be a victim,” he said. “Was [the sex] forced? No. Was it [allegedly] manipulative? Yes.”

Witcher, 38, remained Wednesday in Weber County Jail in lieu of $180,000 bond.

Detectives also are looking into Witcher’s past pastoral assignments at New Pilgrim Baptist Church in south Salt Lake County and more recently the Genesis Project church in Ogden. Investigators say Witcher had been asked to leave Genesis.

In September, Witcher moved to Roy to begin his Crosswalk Christian Training Center. “The victim in this case was associated with him prior, while he was at Genesis,” Whinham said.

The investigation is moving beyond Witcher’s activities in Roy, however. “We’re still trying to fill in the blanks, but what we are seeing is a pattern of him putting himself in a position of trust around young people wherever he’s been,” the chief said.

Spiritual adviser jailed for inappropriate relationship with 14 year old girl

A north-east teacher has been sentenced to more than two years in prison after admitting to having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl who was a member of the Christian group he helped to run.

Richard Taylor, 39, was viewed by his victim as a “spiritual adviser”.

He would regularly sneak off with the girl and encourage her to take part in sex acts after the abuse began in the summer of 2002.

A consensual sexual relationship continued in secret after the girl turned 16 and continued for another two years.

Taylor, of Canmore Park, Stonehaven, previously admitted one charge of acting in a lewd and libidinous manner towards the girl between June 14, 2002, and July 20, 2003.

Sentencing Taylor at the High Court in Edinburgh yesterday, Lord Turnbull said his behaviour was a “gross breach of trust”.

He said: “Children given into the trust of others for educational, religious or social purposes require to be protected from adult sexual desires.”

He sentenced Taylor to two years and eight months in jail.

Taylor’s neighbours said last night they were “shocked” by the news, and that he had “kept himself to himself”.

The court heard that his victim was made to feel “quite special” by the attention she received, and that Taylor started sending text messages to the youngster and meeting her secretly on a regular basis.

In June, 2002, when the girl was 14, he picked her up in his car.

During the evening, he performed a sex act on the girl and said he wished he could take her home to bed.

The incident marked the start of the abuse and a number of similar incidents took place on other occasions.

The court previously heard the girl attended a Christian youth group Taylor organised with his wife and parents and that in July 2002, he twice persuaded the girl to go to his room at the Christian group's summer camp and they engaged in “consensual sexual activity”.

Taylor also arranged for them to stay at a hotel in Edinburgh in April, 2003.

Taylor’s conduct came to light last June after his victim confided in friends, who encouraged her to report the matter to the police.

He was subsequently suspended from his teaching post at Mearns Academy at Laurencekirk where he had worked for more than 15 years.

Aberdeenshire Council said they would not comment on the sentencing.

The Press and Journal understands, however, that the council will follow its usual disciplinary procedures and Taylor will not return to his role at Mearns Academy.

Christian high school Teacher arrested for sexually assaulting teen girl

GRAND RAPIDS -- The father of a South Christian High School teenager allegedly sexually assaulted by her teacher chose the private education setting to protect the 16-year-old and weave a fabric of religion throughout their lives.

The insulated world of family, church and Christian schooling came crashing down as the girl revealed to a religious camp counselor that she had a months-long relationship with James Bruce Valkema, a 32-year-old who taught Spanish and coached the school's bowling team.

"Our world is just absolutely rocked by a man who passed himself off as something he wasn't," the victim's father said. "He's misled and confused a young girl and it's disheartening you have this happening from a person who was in a position of trust.

"People in roles of authority had better look in that mirror every day and make sure they're living the life they're supposed to. There's huge human consequences."

Valkema, a 10-year educator, was arraigned Tuesday on five counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, offenses that are punishable by up to life in prison. He is jailed on a $500,000 bond.

Authorities allege the suspect repeatedly had sex with the girl -- who was a member of the school's bowling team -- beginning April 3 and running through June. The girl was 15 at the time of the contact, police said.

The alleged victim went to Valkema's 1111 Franklin St. SE home and stayed overnight about 10 times on Friday and Saturday nights, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

The first time after they had sex, Valkema took the girl to the pharmacy to obtain a "morning after" birth control pill, court records show.

The alleged assaults continued and became more frequent after school let out for the summer.

In an interview with detectives, the girl was able to describe Valkema's genitalia and her account was confirmed by investigators who photographed his body, documents show.

Evangelist Pastor charged with Rape

A 68-year-old Evangelist Pastor of Hluthi has been charged with rape.
Timothy Mafa Mngometulu of Hlengela yesterday appeared before Magistrate Musa Nxumalo facing charges of rape. He is said to have, on December 18, 2010 had sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old minor, without her consent.
It was said that Mngometulu told the minor to visit him in his house after his wife had left for church.
When they got to the house, the pastor is said to have jokingly referred to the child as his ‘wife’ since the legal wife was not present.
At around 4.30 p.m, sources close to the child said she reported to them that Mngometulu then asked her to go to his bedroom. Apparently, the child was told to undress and lie on the bed, after which Mngometulu started having sexual intercourse with her.
Some sources, who preferred anonymity, said Mngometulu confessed that his manhood could not gain full erection.
It was said that after he had finished he gave the minor E10.40, of which E10 was pocket money and the 40c for a church offering since they were attending a night vigil that same night.
Mngometulu also confessed that he kept the child in his house until 9 p.m when it was time to go to the night vigil, to which they went together.
The following day the child was said to have written a letter to her elder sister reporting what the pastor had done to her.
The sister is said to have called the pastor and informed him that they had laid a formal complaint against him.
He was then arrested on Monday. It was said that the alleged rapist did not use a condom when forcing himself on the minor, therefore putting the complainant at risk of contracting sexually transmitted infections.
The matter returns to court next Tuesday and the accused was advised to apply for bail at the High Court. The state was represented by Richard Dlamini.

Pastor arrested for sexual misconduct against children

Rev. Tom Daniels is pastor of the Rio Linda Baptist Church, a fundamentalist church in northern California. He was also an activist who urged the passage of Proposition 8, to ban gay couples from being allowed to marry one another. Somehow preventing gay people from marrying is supposed to protect children, from something.... what is never quite made clear to me.

Rev. Daniels in in jail and charged with lewd and lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14 as well three or more acts of sexual conduct with a child. But, the good news, Rev. Daniels isn't gay so the kid was protected! The molestations supposedly took place between 2004 and 2007. Originally Daniels was investigated in 2008 for molestation charges but police said they couldn't find enough evidence. A second child has since come forward with similar accusations and the two together apparently were sufficient to file charges this time.

Police searching for Preacher who raped 13 year old girl

Officials in Logan County were searching Saturday for a preacher who they say will be charged with raping a 13-year-old girl.

Jody Lusk, 35, is wanted for rape and unlawful transaction with a minor, said Det. Robbie Matthews of the Logan County sheriff's office.

Lusk, who preaches at Auburn Church of Christ, picked the girl up after school Friday then returned her to her home Saturday afternoon, he said.

Matthews said Lusk faked his disappearance Friday afternoon, telling his wife that he planned to go fishing at Briggs Lake near Russellville. He later sent his wife a cryptic text message with a license plate number and the words "Briggs Lake."

A truck with that plate number had been sitting on the county line for several days and was not connected to Lusk's disappearance, Matthews said. Police initially found Lusk's empty canoe on the lake, prompting them to search for his body using cameras and sonar equipment Saturday morning.

Fatwa's and Scholar comments on domestic abuse

FATWA: Muslim Scholars On Spousal Abuse: “In Islamic law it is absolutely unlawful to abuse a wife, injure her, or insult her dignity.”

David Wood's hypocrisy, mental holy spirit syndrome part 2

Next is David's favorite verse, and our most refuted claim. Literally It's tiring to see Christians lying about the Quran, even when they CLEARLY KNOW they've been answered.
Anyways that verse is 9:29. A clear verse that speaks of an Islamic state.
Under an Islamic state non-Muslims have equal rights as Muslims. Free to work, go to school, go worship, and help develop the society like how the Islamic empire for over 1300 years did. They can be in the army, in the government and so forth.
Everyone in an Islamic country pays tax. Zakat for the Muslims and Jizya to the non-Muslims. Zakat is 2.5% of a Muslims wealth that needs to be paid. Both men and women have to give Zakat. Now for Jizya it is ONLY for mature men who are able to support themselves and their families. Women are exempt, so are Priests, the elderly, young, and the disabled/insane. Furthermore Jizya historically has only been 1 to 4 dinars per YEAR. When the Jizya is paid, the non-Muslims are given state protection (as well as the rights i listed above) and are forbidden to be drafted into the miliary (Jihad is compulsory for every Muslim in whichever way) unless they want to be in the armed forces.
Now, look here in the West. If I don't pay tax the government will fight me. They'll take my car away, my home, and even jail me or expel me. The same goes for in Islam.

From the link:§ion=wel_islam&subsection=Misconceptions#13

9:29 Fight those who believe not in God nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which has been forbidden by God and His Apostle, nor acknowledge the religion of truth, [even if they are] of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.
Some people have falsely concluded from verse 9:29, that Muslims are commanded to attack all non-Muslims until they pay money. In fact, such an interpretation is completely false and contradicts authentic Islamic teachings. Commenting on this verse, Shaykh Jalal Abualrub writes:

These Ayat (Quranic verses) stress the necessity of fighting against the People of the Scripture, but under what conditions? We previously established the fact that the Islamic State is not permitted to attack non-Muslims who are not hostile to Islam, who do not oppress Muslims, or try to convert Muslims by force from their religion, or expel them from their lands, or wage war against them, or prepare for attacks against them. If any of these offenses occurs, however, Muslims are permitted to defend themselves and protect their religion. Muslims are not permitted to attack non-Muslims who signed peace pacts with them, or non-Muslims who live under the protection of the Islamic State. (Abualrub, Holy Wars, Crusades, Jihad)

Likewise, the following fatwa points out that Muslims cannot attack a peaceful non-Muslim country:
Question: Is it an obligation of an Islamic state to attack the neighboring non-Muslim states and collect ‘jizya’ from them? Do we see this in the example of the rightly guided Caliphs who fought against the Roman and Persian Empires without any aggression initiating from them?

Answered by Sheikh Hânî al-Jubayr, judge at the Jeddah Supreme Court

If the non-Muslim country did not attack the Muslim one nor mobilize itself to prevent the practice and spread of Islam, nor transgress against mosques, nor work to oppress the Muslim people in their right to profess their faith and decry unbelief, then it is not for the Muslim country to attack that country. Jihâd of a military nature was only permitted to help Muslims defend their religion and remove oppression from the people.

The Persians and Romans did in fact aggress against Islam and attack the Muslims first.

The Chosroe of Persia had gone so far as to order his commander in Yemen specifically to kill the Prophet (peace be upon him). The Romans mobilized their forces to fight the Prophet (peace be upon him), and the Muslims confronted them in the Battles of Mu’tah and Tabûk during the Prophet's lifetime.

May Allah guide us all. And May peace and blessing be upon our Prophet Muhammad. (SOURCE, emphasis added)
The above fatwa refers to the historical context in which the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) fought against other nations. The Prophet Muhammad did not initiate agression against anyone, rather he and his followers were under attack from all who sought to crush the new Islamic state. The first hostilities between the Muslims and the Roman empire began when the Prophet Muhammad's messenger to the Ghassan tribe (a governate of the Roman empire), Al-Harith bin Umayr Al-Azdi, was tied up and beheaded (Al-Mubarakpuri, Ar-Raheeq Al-Makhtum, p. 383). The killing of a diplomat was an open act of war, and the Prophet Muhammad sent an armed force to confront the tribe, but the Roman empire brought in reinforcements and the resulting conflict, known as the Battle of Mut'ah, was a defeat for the Muslims. Only after this did subsequent battles between the Muslims and the Roman Empire occur, and the Muslims emerged victorious. Likewise, as mentioned in the above fatwa, hostiltiies between the Muslims and the Persians only began after the Persian emperor Chosroe ordered his governor in Yemen Badham, to kill the Prophet Muhammad pbuh, although his efforts were thwarted when the latter accepted Islam. Other non-muslim groups, such as those in Madinah, also initiated hostilities against the Muslims despite peace treaties as Shaykh Sayyid Sabiq writes:
As for fighting the Jews (People of the Scripture), they had conducted a peace pact with the Messenger after he migrated to Madinah. Soon afterwards, they betrayed the peace pact and joined forces with the pagans and the hypocrites against Muslims. They also fought against Muslims during the Battle of A`hzab , then Allah revealed…[and he cites verse 9:29] (Sayyid Sabiq, Fiqhu as-Sunnah, Vol. 3, p. 80)
In light of the historical context of this verse, it becomes very clear that the verse was revealed in connection with agression initiated against Muslims. As Dr. Jamal Badawi very accurately concludes with regard to verse 9:29 and similar verses:
All of these verses, without exception, if studied carefully, address aggression and oppression committed against Muslims at the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), whether by idolatrous Arabs, some of the Jewish tribes in Madinah, or by some Christians. (SOURCE)
Therefore, the command to fight in verse 9:29 relates to those non-muslims who commit agression and not those who are committed to live in peace. The verse is subject to certain conditions that were apparent when it was implemented in the time of the Prophet Muhammad pbuh, as Shaykh Sayyid Sabiq writes:
What we have stated makes it clear that Islam did not allow the initiating of hostilities, except to: 1. repel aggression; 2. protect Islamic propagation; 3. deter Fitnah and oppression and ensure freedom of religion. In such cases, fighting becomes a necessity of the religion and one of its sacred ordainments. It is then called, ‘Jihad’. (Sayyid Sabiq, Fiqhu as-Sunnah, Vol. 3, p. 81)
The verse then proceeds to mention some issues relating to the Islamic state, and governing non-muslim citizens of the Islamic state. Dr. Maher Hathout comments on the regulations in verse 9:29:
Freedom of religion is an essential aspect in an Islamic state. One of the five pillars of Islam is zakat (almsgiving). The People of the Book (Christians and Jews) are not obliged to pay the Islamic zakat that is spent by the state for social necessities and state affairs as defined in the Quran (see 9:60). But they must pay other taxes to share in the state budget. If they refuse to pay this tax to the state and rebel against the state, then it is the obligation of the state to confront them until they pay it. This is what Caliph Abu Bakr did after the death of the Prophet, when some people refused to pay zakat. (Hathout, Jihad vs. Terrorism; US Multimedia Vera International, 2002, p.53)
The verse mentions Jizya, which is unfortunately misunderstood by some people. Like any nation, the Islamic government requires its citizens to pay taxes in return for its services. Since Muslims pay the Zakat, the non-muslim citizens are required to pay Jizya (for more information on Jizya, please refer to Jizya in Islam and Jizyah and non-muslim minorities). Dr. Monqiz As-Saqqar writes concerning the Jizya tax:
The sum of jizya was never large to the extent that the men were unable to pay. Rather, it was always available and reasonable. During the reign of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, jizya never exceeded one dinar annually and it never exceeded four dinars under the Umayyad rule. (SOURCE)
Shaykh Abu'l-Hasan Al-Mawardi (d. 1058CE) explicitly points out that the Jizya should be exacted in accordance with the means of the people, and the Imam should judge the conclude the amount to the satisfaction of the leaders of those being taxed:
The fuqaha (Jurists) differ as to the amount of the Jizya. Abu Hanifa considers that those subject to this tax are of three kinds: the rich from whom forty-eight dirhams are taken; those of average means from whom twenty four are taken, and the poor from whom twelve dirhams are taken: he thus stipulated the minimum and maximum amounts and prohibits any further judgement on behalf of those responsible for its collection. Malik, however, does not fix its minimum and maximum amount and considers that those responsible should make their own judgement as to the minimum and maximum. Ash-Shafi'i considers that the minimum is a dinar, and that it is not permitted to go below this while he does not stipulate the maximum, the latter being dependant on the ijtihad (judgement) of those responsible: the Imam, however, should try to harmonise between the different amounts, or to exact an amount in accordance with people's means. If he has used his judgement to conclude the contract od jizyah to the satisfaction of the leaders of the people being taxed, then it becomes binding on all of them and their descendants, generation after generation, and a leader may not afterwards change this amunt, be it to decrease it or increase it. (Al-Mawardi, al-Ahkam as-Sultaniyyah, Ta-Ha Publishers Ltd. 1996, pp. 209-210)
Hence, the laws of Islam forbid Muslims from opressing non-muslims and command them to treat others with justice and compassion. In fact, the Prophet Muhammad pbuh himself forbade Muslims from harming non-muslim citizens of an islamic state or any non-muslim with whom there was an agreement of peace, as he said,
"The one who wrongs a covenanter or impairs his right or overworks him or forcibly takes something from him, I will be his prosecutor on the Day of Judgment. (Sunan Abi Dawud 170/3 no. 3052, Sunan an-Nasa'i 25/8 no. 2749, and verified by Al-Albani no. 2626).

In conclusion, verse 9:29 commands Muslims to fight against only those who initiate agression as illustated by its historical context. Muslims may only fight under strict conditions, and are commanded to live peacefully with peaceful non-muslim neighbors.

The following verse David brought was 9:30 where the Jews called Uazir the son of god. See here:

Next David brings up verse 48:29. Sadly, David is an obvious rejecter of what early Muslims had to go through. During early Islam, muslims were under oppression of Pagans. Every "violent" (as in self defense) verse was directed at the Pagans. Actually you can see here a list of verses and hadiths concerning the fight against the Pagans who had a heavy hate of Muhammed (pbuh) and his people:

So we already know Islam allows freedom of religion, equality, pluralism and warfare against those who declare war on you. Lets see a list of translations from Islam Awakened:

The unbelievers and disbelievers are the ones who attack Muslims (phisically). Not that hard to understand.

Next David brought verse 98:6 which pretty much sums up if you don't believe n Islam you are not gonna enter heaven. Same with every religion in the world, especially Christianity. In my Part one rebuttal I brought cruel verses from the New Testement about non-Christians (like how we're called darkness, fiends of satan, scum, low life, and who can forget Matt 7:6 where we're caled dogs and pigs).

Lets analyze verse by verse (there's only 8 in this chapter)

98:1 It is inconceivable that those who are denying the Truth, whether they are among the People of the Scripture or the idolaters, could depart from their ways till the Clear Evidence reaches them. (The Qur'an liberates them from the shackles of their man-made dogmas and brings them from darkness to Light (7:157)).

98:2 A Messenger of Allah conveying to them the Purified Scrolls. (That are well-scored and well- written on parchment by honored scribes (52:2-3), (80:13-16)).

98:3 Wherein are Authoritative Scriptures.

98:4 Now the People of the Scripture had divided among themselves even when the Evidence of Truth had already come to them.

98:5 And they were commanded no more than to serve Allah, keeping religion pure for Him - turning away from all that is false, as men of reason upright. And to establish the Divine System, and set up the Just Economic Order of Zakat. For, that is the Perfect System of Life.

98:6 Verily, those who are bent on denying the Truth, be they among the People of the Scripture or the idol worshipers under any guise, will abide in Hell. They (who see the Truth and then deny it) are the worst of all created beings.

98:7 And behold, those who have chosen to be graced with belief, and do works that help others - it is they, they who are the best of all created beings.

98:8 Their reward is with their Lord - Gardens of Eden (of perpetual Bliss) underneath which rivers flow - to abide therein forever. Well-pleased is Allah with them and well-pleased are they with Him. All this awaits him who fears his Lord. (Knowing that his Lord's Law of Requital is a rock solid reality, he understands that all actions have their built-in recompense).

98:6 refers to those who ignored, changed God's laws and commands to suit their own lifestyles.
The Quran is filled with scientific and mathematical miracles. There is great amounts of a evidence Muhammed was a true Prophet of God. There were witnesses before and after him that could easily detect this man came to save them.

وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلَّا رَحْمَةً لِّلْعَالَمِينَ
"We have sent you as a mercy to all mankind" [TMQ Al-Anbiya: 107]

(I suggest people read Martin Lings book "Muhammed". He (a Christian and Muslim scholar), who was a non-Muslim at the time, gave direct clues about the nature, habits and personality of the Prophet. I also recommend people listen to the commentary on this book b Hamza Yusuf, who only adds more understanding of the legacy and mercy of the Prophet that came to unite and guide mankind).

Next David brought a hadith. Once again, this has been answered here:

A common hadith that missionary propagandists often bring up is the following one:

Bukhari Volume 1, Book 2, Number 24:

Narrated Ibn 'Umar:

Allah's Apostle said: "I have been ordered (by Allah) to fight against the people until they testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is Allah's Apostle, and offer the prayers perfectly and give the obligatory charity, so if they perform a that, then they save their lives an property from me except for Islamic laws and then their reckoning (accounts) will be done by Allah."

The missionary will quote the following hadith and will happily proclaim ha! See! The prophet Muhammad was commanded to fight people until they converted to Islam, so Muslims must fight nonebelievers until they convert!

Now indeed if the world worked like that, then that would be a very good world for missionaries, it would mean that humans cease using their minds and brains.

Sadly for the missionaries (and very good for sane human beings of all creeds) the world does not work in such a fashion, rather we thinking humans who have a brain will sit back and say, hey, wait a minute, this person is quoting one Islamic text on its own, surely we must look at the context, and draw our conclusion from there!

Now FOR THE SAKE OF ARGUMENT (let us get this out of the way to just show how inconsistent these missionaries are) let us assume this is true, that Islam teaches Muslims to fight and force people to Islam, so what? It seems these missionaries forgot about their own Bible:

Whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman. (2 Chronicles 15:13)

That is straight from the Bible! So one must wonder from where these Christian missionaries are coming from! It's quite obvious what these missionaries are doing, they are following in the footsteps of their leader, Paul, who deployed deceiving as a prime tactic of preaching and trying to gain followers, for more on this specific topic visit the following article:

Glad to have gotten all of that out of the way! Now let us proceed to the topic at hand, and let us give the context. For starters anyone who studies about the religion of Islam will know that Islam teaches that people are not compelled or forced to join Islam, rather Islam teaches religious freedom:

Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things. (2:256)

So if they dispute with thee, say: "I have submitted My whole self to Allah and so have those who follow me." And say to the People of the Book and to those who are unlearned: "Do ye (also) submit yourselves?" If they do, they are in right guidance, but if they turn back, Thy duty is to convey the Message; and in Allah's sight are (all) His servants. (3:20)

And an entire chapter devoted to religious freedom:

Say: O ye that reject Faith! I worship not that which ye worship, Nor will ye worship that which I worship. And I will not worship that which ye have been wont to worship, Nor will ye worship that which I worship. To you be your Way, and to me mine. (Surah 109)

So it is quite clear that Islam teaches religious tolerance, nobody is compelled to follow Islam, they can keep their way and religion, and the same for the Muslims. So in light of this one must therefore apply the Hadith to this context, one cannot simply ignore all these verses and then go on to conclude that Islam teaches forced conversion to Islam.

Now we move to the second part, and we go back to the Quran, because the above Hadith is very familiar to a Quranic passage, and the passage reads as follows:

And fight them on until there is no more tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in Allah altogether and everywhere; but if they cease, verily Allah doth see all that they do. (8:39)

In the above passage Muslims are commanded to fight until there is no more oppression, till justice prevails, and when faith is in Allah. This is essentially the same message as the Hadith in slightly different wording, but the content is similar.

Now off course if we were as narrow minded as these missionaries are, then we too would have to conclude that 8:39 commands Muslims to fight until people have faith in Allah, meaning convert to Islam and submit to Allah. In fact that Islamophobic right wing racist bigot Geert Wilders brought this verse up in his Fitna documentary!

Now if anyone studies the context of 8:39 one will know that this verse was aimed at the Pagans, not only was this verse revealed against the Pagans, but the very same Pagans the Muslims were at war with! Basically this verse was revealed during a time of war between the Muslims and the Pagans, the very same Pagans who initiated the war, as the verse itself mentions, the Muslims are to fight them until there is no more OPPRESSION, and these Pagans were oppressing the Muslims.

So how does this all relate to the hadith in question? The reason why it relates to the hadith is because the Quranic verse is very similar to what the prophet said, and when one analyzes the Quran one will find that when it gave this specific ruling, it was revealed during a time of war, and revealed against the Pagan combatants! Hence we must apply this same standard to the Hadith in question!

And finally, Ibn Taymiyyah, a major Islamic scholar had this to say about the hadith in question:

"It refers to fighting those who are waging war, whom Allah has permitted us to fight. It does not refer to those who have a covenant with us with whom Allah commands us to fulfill our covenant." [Majmû` al-Fatâwâ (19/20)]

Hence in conclusion when you put all of this together you will see that the missionary has no case (as usual), and that the hadith in no way serves their argument, and in no way contradicts the religious freedom and tolerance enjoined by Islam.

And Allah Knows Best!

Next David brought another hadith, that the answer can be found here:

And then he brought another. Now when I searched this one up cause i've never seen it, i only got 5 results (on google). all christian sites, 3 from David's blog. So I'm assuming it's probably another one of those unreliable hadiths that falsely get attributed to Muhammed (pbuh). Oh, and lets not forget David's extreme obsession with false hadiths (hint hint why he blocked me).

And finally David rants on what Muhammed said about women.

Since you're a woman, I'm wondering how you deal with Muhammad's teachings about women. According to Muhammad, women are inferior to men, husbands can beat their wives into submission, women are stupid, men can have sex with prepubescent girls, men can have sex with up to four wives (along with countless sex slaves), etc. Do you agree with all of these teachings?

No clue what David's speaking of. Notice no sources. Davi'd trying to fool Danielle here into deception (of course it's part of Philippians 1:18 where Christians can lie and cheat for Christ). But I do know what the New Testement says about women. Funny thing David said Muhammed (pbuh) claimed women are stupid (false claim yet agin). But what about the Bible? From:

A great article written by Bassan Zawadi, a writer at Answering Christianity. Here's his site, talking about how the bible totally degrades women:

Here is a verse from the New Testament talking about husbands and wives and the way they should treat each other...

1 Peter 3:7

"Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker (asthenes) partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers."

The word asthenes means...

1) weak, infirm, feeble

It usually refers to weakness in a physical sense. However, it could also refer to weakness in a mental sense as well...

1 Corinthians 8:7,10

"But not everyone knows this. Some people are still so accustomed to idols that when they eat such food they think of it as having been sacrificed to an idol, and since their conscience is weak (asthenes), it is defiled.

For if anyone with a weak (asthenes) conscience sees you who have this knowledge eating in an idol's temple, won't he be emboldened to eat what has been sacrificed to idols?"

So does this mean that the wife is not only weaker physically but mentally as well? Well a well known commentator sure did think so...

and here "the weaker"; being so for the most part, both as to strength of body, and endowments of mind; (John Gills Exposition to the Bible, Commentary on 1 Peter 3:7)

From our other blog:

Submission to her Husband

Ephesians 5:24- Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

Ephesians 5:22-Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord.

And lets look at some commentary by John Wesley, one of the greatest Christian scholars to ever live on this verse:

In the following directions concerning relative duties, the inferiors are all along placed before the superiors, because the general proposition is concerning submission; and inferiors ought to do their duty, whatever their superiors do. Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands - Unless where God forbids. Otherwise, in all indifferent things, the will of the husband is a law to the wife. As unto the Lord - The obedience a wife pays to her husband is at the same time paid to Christ himself; he being head of the wife, as Christ is head of the church.

Colossians 3:18- Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.

1 Timothy 2:11- A woman should learn in quietness and full submission.

1 Corinthians 11:3 "Now I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God."

1 Corinthians 11:7 A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man."

1 Peter 3:6- Just as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, and you have become her children if you do what is right without being frightened by any fear.

Leadership, Freedom of Expression and House Arrest

1 Timothy 2:12- I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent.

1 Corinthians 7:1 - "Now for the matters you wrote about: It is good for a man not to marry.

Yeah just in case his wife doesn't worship or silently obey him like a dog.

1 Corinthians 7:1- Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman

Titus 2:3-5 - The aged women likewise, that [they be] in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands,
to love their children, [To be] discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient (hupotasso) to their own
husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

Rebelling against your husband is an insult to god?

Marriage, Adultery and Divorce

Romans 7:2-3- For example, by law a married woman is bound to her husband as long as he is alive, but if her husband dies, she is released from the law that binds her to him. So then, if she marries another man while her husband is still alive, she is called an adulteress.

Even if the husband is abusive, she can't get away.

1 Corinthians 7:39- A woman is bound to her husband as long as he lives. But if her husband dies, she is free to marry anyone she wishes, but he must belong to the Lord

Of course so she can obey and submit to his ever wish as well.

Matthew 5:32- But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery

And now let's look at women in Islam. Before we look into the Quran and Hadith let's understand that the first convert to Islam was a woman, the first martyr in Islam was a woman, and the first scholar on Islam was a woman.

"O ye who believe! Ye are forbidden to inherit women against their will. Nor should ye treat them with harshness, that ye may take away part of the dower ye have given them, except where they have been guilty of open lewdness; on the contrary live with them on a footing of kindness and equity. If ye take a dislike to them it may be that ye dislike a thing, and God brings about through it a great deal of good. (Quran, 4:19)"

The verse tell's men to listen to women, not treat them with harshness, live with them in kindness and honour (what equity means). Of course only the only women who deserve this are the one's who aren't slutty and show off their bodies (what the open lewd part means)

When ye have divorced women, and they have reached their term, then retain them in kindness or release them in kindness. Retain them not to their hurt so that ye transgress (the limits). He who doeth that hath wronged his soul. Make not the revelations of Allah a laughing-stock (by your behaviour), but remember Allah's grace upon you and that which He hath revealed unto you of the Scripture and of wisdom, whereby He doth exhort you. Observe your duty to Allah and know that Allah is Aware of all things. (Quran 2:231)

You shall allow them to live in the same home in which they lived with you, and do not make life so miserable for them that they leave on their own. If they are pregnant, you shall spend on them until they give birth. If they nurse the infant, you shall pay them for this service. You shall maintain the friendly relations among you. If you disagree, you may hire another woman to nurse the child. (Quran 65:6)

The 2 verses above speak of divorce. You have to either reconcile with the wife in kindness or let her leave in kindness. Divorced women are allowed to stay in their husbands houses until she is able to provide on her own or by her family or by her new husband. Men cannot keep women as revenge or hurt them or else they break the boundries and rules set by God.

Remember how woman in the Bible are forbidden to divorce? Well let's see what the Quran says:

If a couple fears separation, you shall appoint an arbitrator from his family and an arbitrator from her family; if they decide to reconcile, GOD will help them get together. GOD is Omniscient, Cognizant. (Quran 4:35)

"If a wife fears cruelty or desertion on her husband's part, there is no blame on them if they arrange a friendly settlement between themselves; and such settlement is best; even though men's souls are swayed by greed. But if ye do good and practise self-restraint, God is well-acquainted with all that ye do." (Quran 4:128)

The Quran tell's how husbands and wives SHOULD live:

Among His proofs is that He created for you spouses from among yourselves, in order to have tranquility and contentment with each other, and He placed in your hearts love and care towards your spouses. In this, there are sufficient proofs for people who think. (Quran 30:21)

It is lawful for you to go in unto your wives during the night preceding the (day's) fast: they are as a garment for you, and you are as a garment for them. God is aware that you would have deprived yourselves of this right, and so He has turned unto you in His mercy and removed this hardship from you. Now, then, you may lie with them skin to skin, and avail yourselves to that which God has ordained for you. (Qur’an 2:187)

He created you from one person (Adam). Subsequently, He gives every man a mate to find tranquility with her. She then carries a light load that she can hardly notice. As the load gets heavier, they implore GOD their Lord: "If You give us a good baby, we will be appreciative." (Quran 7:189)

The following three verses speak of equality:

"O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other. Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well-acquainted." (Quran, 49:13)

Whoever works righteousness — whether male or female — while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him We will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and We shall pay them certainly a reward in proportion to the best of what they used to do (i.e. Paradise in the Hereafter)." (Quran 16:97)

"Lo! men who surrender unto Allah, and women who surrender, and men who believe and women who believe, and men who obey and women who obey, and men who speak the truth and women who speak the truth, and men who persevere (in righteousness) and women who persevere, and men who are humble and women who are humble, and men who give alms and women who give alms, and men who fast and women who fast, and men who guard their modesty and women who guard (their modesty), and men who remember Allah much and women who remember - Allah hath prepared for them forgiveness and a vast reward." (Quran 33:35)

A woman's privacy is to be protected. That is why God says:

"O prophet, tell your wives, your daughters, and the wives of the believers that they shall lengthen their garments. Thus, they will be recognized (as righteous women) and avoid being insulted. GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful". (Quran 33:59)

There's alot more I can add but due to space left, I'll end with the saying of the Prophet (peace be upon him)

"Paradise lies at the feet of the mother. "

Narrated Abu Huraira:
A man came to Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) and asked,
"O Allahs Apostle! Who is more entitled to be treated with the best companionship by me?"
The Prophet(PBUH) said, "Your mother." The man said. "Who is next?"
The Prophet(PBUH) said, "Your mother."
The man further said, "Who is next?"
The Prophet(PBUH) said, "Your mother."
The man asked for the fourth time,
"Who is next?" The Prophet(PBUH) said, "Your father."

"Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim, male and female"

"Assuredly, women are the twin halves of men."

David Wood's hypocrisy, mental holy spirit syndrome continues (Part 1)

So it's been a while since I wrote about Mr. Wood. Though It's been noted by others he's continued to purposley mis-interpret Islam to suit his sick evangelist agenda on his answering muslims blog. I'm still waiting for him to respond to any of my posts, as well as to lift the ban of me on his blog (for thoe who don't know, David blocked me, called me "annoying" for refuting him on honor killlings. See here: I know he still remebers me. I know he still remembers Amy (WFT101). On the link I just posted, see how Amy outright handled David. He decided to try and embarass her by using the insults Christians posted on his blog and trying to change the topic. Funny guy tries to run away from debates by either blocking you and deleting posts or by changing topics.

Today a Pakistani Governer was assasinated by his own body guard (see here on how Pakistan is not a Muslim country: and here: Just before David posted an article about this, here's what he wrote:

Many Muslims live far better lives than their prophet lived. The reason they reinterpret the violent teachings of the Qur'an is that they don't approve of violence or oppression. Ever wonder why more of these peaceful Muslims don't speak out against Muhammad's teachings?

Firstly, that is untrue. Muslims at the time of the Prophet (pbuh) were not fighting, taking the law into their own hands, lying, drinking, adultering, gambling etc. Secondly David claims we don't approve of the violent and oppressive teachings in the Quran. Uh and where can I find these verses David? We approve of all the wisdom, kindness, love, equality and justice thats in the Quran. It's your evangelical tactic to lie about Muslims that we reject and reinterpret this and that. This is all holy spirit crap guiding you.

Let me tell you David, Pakistan has NEVER excecuted anyone for blasphemy. Only 2 other countries have this law, Iran and Saudi, again both who have never excecuted or hardly persecuted anyone that insulted Islam.
Show me David from the Quran and hadith that supports blasphemy. There's many un-Islamic inventions that have developed in Muslim coutries and this blasphemy thing is one of them.

Muhammed NEVER ordered any non-Muslim to be killed for insulting or threatening him. It is VERY well known he recieved death threats, mockery (such as having dead bones dumped on him) etc. It is well known he was pelted with stones by non-Muslims. And what did he do? There is a very famous hadith that the Angel Gabriel came to Muhammed telling him he could kill the non-Pagans who were coming to kill him. Muhammed cried out and said no and said that these people who are coming to kill him might turn to Islam one day. Here is that hadith:

“O God, to You I complain of my weakness, lack of resources and humiliation before these people. You are the Most Merciful, the Lord of the weak and my Master. To whom will You consign me? To one estranged, bearing ill will, or an enemy given power over me? If You do not assign me any worth, I care not, for Your favor is abundant upon me. I seek refuge in the light of Your countenance by which all darkness is dispelled and every affair of this world and the next is set right, lest Thy anger should descend upon me or Your displeasure light upon me. I need only Your pleasure and satisfaction for only You enable me to do good and evade the evil. There is no power and no might but You.”
The Lord then sent the angel of mountains, seeking the permission of the Prophet to join together the two hills and crush the city of Taif, between which it was located. Out of his great tolerance and mercy, the Messenger of God replied,
“No! For, I hope that God will bring forth from their loins people who will worship God alone, associating nothing with Him.”
(Sahih Muslim)

And next post, David began ranting on a female convert named Danielle. David always tries to get under the skin of women converts. It happened (and continues to happen) to Amy. So David started up:

A recent convert to Islam named Danielle posted a brief testimony in the comments section of James White's response to Joshua Evans. Danielle says that we preach "hate and intolerance," but that the Muslims here are preaching tolerance. Unfortunately, she won't watch James's videos (or, presumably, other videos here), since she somehow already knows what the videos contain. I'll go ahead and post Danielle's conversion testimony, and I'll ask her a few questions to see how much she learned about Islam before she converted. Here's what she wrote:

I think it is funny how all the Muslims here are preaching tolerance and the Christians are preaching hate and intolerance. I refuse to even watch the videos because I know they will be full of ignorance. I refuse to break the peace Allah has given me just to see it. I am a recent convert and I am a white American girl. I have never been particularly religious though I have always tried to be a good person. When my fiance converted I was devastated because I would have to convert if I wished to marry him. I did not want to call myself something I wasn't (unlike many Christians today who don't even follow the teachings of Jesus, peace be upon him, and the Bible). But we made an oath of trust that I would believe him and try it. He was in an extremely bad situation being homeless for 2 months and Allah had provided him food and money when he asked. I knew there was some truth. After 2 weeks of consistent prayer and squashing the doubts Shitan whispered in my ear, I finally felt this amazing and overwhelming sensation of joy and peace. I had finally understood Truth. No one had to tell me. I read on my own. Allah then fixed my life and lifted my veil so that I could see clearly. Before I wondered aimlessly only moving deeper into darkness.

The only thing keeping anyone (including Christians) from converting to Islam and understanding Truth is pride. Your pride stands in your way and you side with the jinn (demons) who will not bow to those they feel superior to. You will not bow to God as God. You don't want to be wrong or see things differently. Islam came to correct the mistakes of man and former Knowledge that was sent and perverted.

If you have no pride and are humble as God wills, you will bow to him and ask him to guide you perfectly as he wishes. You put too much importance on wordly things such as money and traditions. It is only your arrogance that speaks when you claim to know better than God.

If you truly loved Jesus(pbuh), then you would be following his teachings of love, compassion, charity, and humility. Most adult Christians are hateful, racist, and act as though they know all that God knows and can enact punishment against others in his name.

But it does not matter. We are told not to worry with those who we cannot help or show the path, for Allah has cursed them with veiled eyes to wonder deeper into sin and despair. Allah saves who he wills. If you gave Islam a chance to touch your heart, surely you would be overcome with joy and enlightened by Allah himself.

It has completely changed my life so truly you all do not know what you are talking about when you speak hate against Islam and your own God you claim to love.

And now we have a few questions:

(1) Danielle, it doesn't sound like you did any research at all before converting to Islam. Rather, it sounds like your conversion was based entirely on feelings and an answer to prayer. I have heard many almost identical testimonies from people who converted to Christianity, Mormonism, etc. My question is this: Does historical evidence mean anything, or is your personal experience enough?

(2) If your personal experience is enough, how would you convince a person who had a similar experience after converting to a different religion? (In other words, since people convert to different religions and have similar experiences, it doesn't seem like religious experiences are an infallible guide to truth.)

Right and your partner Nabeel Qureshi said he saw "crosses" on the wall.
You know when I accidently look at the sun or my eyes come into view with bright lights, it takes a while for my eyes to re-adjust. And during that time I see all sorts of shapes and colors. You see how stupid Nabeel's claim sounds?

(3) You complain about intolerance at the beginning of your post, and yet you've become a Muslim. Could you explain your interpretation of some of the following passages for me? Do they sound "tolerant" to you? Have you reinterpreted them? (I know there's a lot here, so please answer any you feel comfortable with.)

Qur’an 3:32—Allah does not love the unbelievers.

Qur’an 5:51—O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them.

Qur’an 9:29—Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the Religion of Truth, from among the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

Qur’an 9:30—And the Jews say: Uzair is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away!

Qur’an 48:29—Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and those who are with him are severe against disbelievers, and merciful among themselves.

Qur’an 98:6—Verily, those who disbelieve (in the religion of Islam, the Qur'an and Prophet Muhammad) from among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) and Al-Mushrikun will abide in the Fire of Hell. They are the worst of creatures.

Sahih Muslim 33—The Messenger of Allah said: I have been commanded to fight against people till they testify that there is no god but Allah, that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, and they establish prayer, and pay Zakat and if they do it, their blood and property are guaranteed protection on my behalf except when justified by law, and their affairs rest with Allah.

Sahih Muslim 4366—It has been narrated by ‘Umar b. al-Khattab that he heard the Messenger of Allah say: I will expel the Jews and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula and will not leave any but Muslim.

Al-Bukhari, Al-Adab al-Mufrad 1103—Abu Hurayra reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “Do not give the People of the Book the greeting first. Force them to the narrowest part of the road.”

(4) You say that Jesus taught "love, compassion, charity, and humility" (I agree). But how do you reconcile Jesus' teachings with Muhammad's clear commands to subjugate and oppress non-Muslims? Do you believe that Jesus preached a radically different message from that taught by Muhammad?

(5) You say that we're intolerant because we criticize Islam. Yet you say that "most adult Christians are hateful, racist." Why is it perfectly loving and tolerant for you to condemn Christians, while anyone who criticizes Islam is a hate-filled, Islamophobic, racist bigot? Am I missing something?

(6) Since you're a woman, I'm wondering how you deal with Muhammad's teachings about women. According to Muhammad, women are inferior to men, husbands can beat their wives into submission, women are stupid, men can have sex with prepubescent girls, men can have sex with up to four wives (along with countless sex slaves), etc. Do you agree with all of these teachings?

(7) Considering practically everyone here is familiar with Muhammad's teachings, do you really believe that the only thing keeping us from accepting Islam is pride?

We look forward to your response.

HAHAHA okay you know how many Muslims have direct responses to you in which you dismiss? How pathetic.
Okay begining with verse 3:32. So? What's the point? If you're not interested in the truth God won't care about you. You don't remember him he won't remember you.
Are you gonna tell me Jesus didn't say the same? If I don't convert to Christianity will Jesus still love me? Let's see:

"Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness? Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, 'I will dwell in them and walk among them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. Therefore, come out from their midst and be separate,' says the Lord. 'And do not touch what is unclean; And I will welcome you. And I will be a Father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to Me,' Says the Lord Almighty." (2 Corinthians 6:14-18).

Okay that verse says we're "Belial" (meaning we non-Christians are with Satan, low life scums etc). Furthermore it says we're "darkness" and "lawlessness" (i.e uncivilized, kinda like animals. Actually that's correct because below I'll show a verse that compares non-Christians to animals). And finally it says we, the non-Christians, are unclean.

And see this verse in Mathew 7:6-

"Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces.

And if anyone reads Barnes commentary, he clearly indicates this verse refer's to those who oppose and challenge the Bible.

Next David brought the ever so refuted claim of verse 5:51. Here is a nice response from:

Before we understand the verse under discussion it is important to understand the context of this Surah and the situation under which this verse was revealed.

In the last stages of prophetic mission in Medinah, Muslims had emerged as a dominant power and had set up a society of their own. At the same time, the polytheists of Makkah as well as Jews and Christians had also established setups and in case of an armed conflict, it seemed that any of them could have emerged as victorious. In such an environment the hypocrites amongst Muslims maintained ties with Jews and Christians and supported them in secret. Their support was in order to safeguard their interests with whoever the victorious party would be. In addition, the hypocrites obviously had not accepted Islam from within their hearts and their conversion to Islam had not affected their ties with Muslims' opponents.

It is in this context that Quran revealed the following verses specifically admonishing these hypocrites amongst Muslims:

"O believers, do not take the Jews and the Christians as your friends and protectors, they are friends of each other. And whoever makes them a friend then he is from amongst them. Verily God does not guide the unjust people. And you will see that those (Muslims) in whose hearts is a disease run towards them saying 'We fear that a calamity may befall us.' So God will soon bring victory or a decision from Him, causing them regret on account of the thoughts they harbored in their hearts." (Quran 5:51-52)
The explanation above should depict the correct meaning of the verses under discussion.

In addition to the general context, it should also be noted that Quran has used the words 'the Jews' and 'the Christians' making it very clear that it is a specific group of Jews and Christians and this verse is not a general prescription. The attitude of these people has been explained further in the following verses for instance:

"O you who believe! do not take for friends and protectors those who take your religion for a mockery and a joke, from among those who were given the Book before you and the unbelievers; and be careful of (your duty to) Allah if you are believers. And when you call to prayer they make it a mockery and a joke; this is because they are a people who do not understand." (Quran 5:57-58)
As it can be clearly seen, the Jews and Christians mentioned above are those 'who take your religion for a mockery and a joke.'

In view of the above explanation, I believe these verses should not be taken to be a general directive of our relationship with Jews and Christians. Instead our relationship with the people of other faiths should only be avoided when it becomes harmful for Muslims, and otherwise we should feel free to enjoy a comfortable relationship with our Jew and Christian brothers and sisters.

Another thing about this, and I know David Wood knows he's been refuted on this, is that the word "friends" here is very often mistranslated.

Dr. Muzammil Siddiqi writes:
In the verse you quoted, the word "Awliya" is used. It is a plural and its singular is "wali". The correct translation of the word ""wali"" is not "friend" but it is someone who is very close and intimate. It is also used to mean "guardian, protector, patron, lord and master". In the Qur'an this word is used for God, such as
“Allah is the Protector (or Lord and Master) of those who believe. He takes them out from the depths of darkness to light…” (Al- Baqarah: 257)

There are many other references in the Qur'an that give this meaning. The same word is also sometimes used in the Qur'an for human beings, such as

“And whosoever is killed unjustly, We have granted his next kin "wali" the authority (to seek judgment or punishment in this case)…”(Al-‘Isra' :33)

The Qur'an does not say that non-Muslims cannot be Muslims' friends, nor does it forbid Muslims to be friendly to non-Muslims. There are many non-Muslims who are good friends of Muslim individuals and the Muslim community. There are also many good Muslims who truly and sincerely observe their faith and are very friendly to many non-Muslims at the same time. Islam teaches us that we should be friendly to all people. Islam teaches us that we should deal even with our enemies with justice and fairness. Allah says in the Qur'an in the beginning of the same Surah Al-Ma’dah:
“O you who believe! Stand out firmly for Allah as witnesses to fair dealings and let not the hatred of others to you make you swerve to wrong and depart from justice. Be just, that is next to piety. Fear Allah, indeed Allah is well-acquainted with all that you do.” (Al-Ma’dah :8)

In another place in the Qur'an, Allah Almighty says:

“Allah forbids you not with regard to those who fight you not for your faith, nor drive you out of your homes, from dealing kindly and justly with them. For Allah loves those who are just. Allah only forbids you with regard to those who fight you for your faith, and drive you out of your homes and support others in driving you out, from turning to them for protection (or taking them as wali). Those who seek their protection they are indeed wrong- doers.” (Al-Mumtahinah: 8-9)

Moreover, Allah Almighty has described Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, as "a mercy" to the worlds. He was a sign of Allah's Mercy to all, Muslims as well as non-Muslims. In his kindness and fair treatment he did not make any difference between the believers and non-believers. He was kind to the pagans of Makkah and fought them only when they fought him. He made treaties with the Jews of Madinah and honored the treaties until they broke them. He, peace and blessings be upon him, is reported to have received the Christians of Najran with kindness in his Masjid in Madinah. They argued with him about Islam, but he returned them with honor and respect. There are many examples from his life that show that he was the friendliest person to all people.

And as Muhammad Asad writes:
As regards the meaning of the "alliance" referred to here, see 3:28, and more particularly 4: 139 and the corresponding note, which explains the reference to a believer's loss of his moral identity if he imitates the way of life of, or-in Qur'anic terminology-"allies himself" with, non-Muslims. However, as has been made abundantly clear in 60: 7-9 (and implied in verse 57 of this Surah), this prohibition of a "moral alliance" with non-Muslims does not constitute an injunction against normal, friendly relations with such of them as are well-disposed towards Muslims. It should be borne in mind that the term wall has several shades of meaning: "ally", "friend", "helper", "protector", etc. The choice of the particular term - and sometimes a -combination of two terms-is always dependent on the context. (Asad, The Message of the Qur’an, emphasis added)

Shaykh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi writes:

[The answer to this is that these verses are not unconditional, to be applied to every Jew, Christian, or non-Muslim. Interpreting them in this manner contradicts the injunctions of the Qur'an which enjoin affection and kindness to the good and peace-loving peoples of every religion, as well as the verses which permit marriage to the women of the People of the Book, with all that Allah says concerning marriage
and He has put love and mercy between you” (30:21)

and the verse concerning the Christians:

And thou wilt find those who say, 'Surely we are Christians,' to be nearest to them (the Muslims in affection...(5:82)

The verses cited above [verse 5:51] were revealed in connection with those people who were hostile to Islam and made war upon the Muslims. Accordingly, it is not permissible for the Muslims to support or assist them - that is, to be their ally- nor to entrust them with secrets at the expense of his own religion and community. This point is explained in other verses, in which Allah, The Most High, says:

They will spare nothing to ruin you; they yearn for what makes you suffer. Hatred has been expressed by their mouths, but what their hearts conceal is still greater. Thus have We made clear to you the revelations (or signs), if you possess understanding. Ah! You love them, but they do not love you…(3:118-119)

This ayah throws light on the character of such people, who conceal great enmity and hatred against the Muslims in their hearts and whose tongues express some of the effects of such hostility. (Al-Qaradawi, Al-Halal Wal Haram Fil Islam; US American Trust Publications, 1994, p. 340, emphasis added)
