Bishop charged wih child porn posession

Aww come on he's just following the bible?

Numbers 31:18

18. But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.

It has to be true if this guy could go inside his computer screen, he would take a young one.

A former Roman Catholic bishop from Nova Scotia is facing child pornography charges.

Raymond Lahey, the former bishop of the diocese of Antigonish, is known as the man who oversaw a $15-million settlement with people who said they had been sexually abused by priests in the diocese dating back to 1950.

He was returning to Canada from the United States when he was arrested at the Ottawa Airport last week after members of the Canada Border Services Agency performed a random check of his laptop computer.

Lahey has been charged with distributing and selling child pornography. No court date has been set.

Ron Martin, the lead plaintiff in the class-action suit that led to the settlement Lahey brokered, reacted with shock when reached by phone.

Martin said he needed to speak with his lawyer and declined further comment.

On Saturday, Lahey, 69, announced his resignation as bishop of the Antigonish diocese, which the Vatican accepted.

Christians targeting muslims

I dont know why christians want us to go to the hell fire with them.
These christians do not want us to live a peaceful life.
When we deny their false made up faith, they'll end with a remark like "Take or leave Jesus". Quite idiotic, despite the fact Paul's followers are ever so clear to us that this isn't a true faith.

http://www.freep.com/article/20090905/NEWS05/909050318/1318/Christian-evangelists-target-Dearborn-s-large-Islamic-population

Let us remember, christians are the kings when it comes to stereotyping, spreading lies, myths and hate. Remember Paul said (in Philippians 1:18-18 But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice.) to lie for christ.

Christian Group whines about zoo statue

Hmmm we see christian symbols, propoganda everywhere. If there was a Jesus statue in the zoo, I'm sure no christian would come forward. But the West is 85% christian. Though Canada isn't as christian as the real christian state of America, christian groups are always lurking around.
Talk about freedom of expression.

CALGARY — A dancing elephant statue at the Calgary Zoo has kicked up controversy after a Christian group condemned the figure as an inappropriate religious icon.

Zoo officials say they have no plans to replace the Ganesh statue — which has stood near the elephant enclosure for at least two years — despite calls for its removal from Concerned Christians Canada.

The group sent a letter to the zoo earlier this week, calling the statue an image of a Hindu god that has no place in the publicly funded zoo.

"The zoo is not a place of religious expression," said Concerned Christians' chairman Jim Blake.

**However having christian symbols brainwahsing our youth is allowed anywhere**

"Whether you're a believer of any faith or an atheist or agnostic, if you're a non-Hindu, it's a god that does not represent your views."

The issue first arose after the Concerned Christian group was approached by some zoo visitors upset over the elephant statue.

Grahame Newton, the zoo's director of corporate services, says the Ganesh statue isn't a religious icon, rather a cultural symbol that shows the tie between the elephants and Asian culture.

"It was actually chosen more (as) a symbol of how animals and cultures tie closely together," he said.

An anonymous donor supplied funds for the statue several years ago in memory of her late father, who worked and travelled extensively in Asia, Newton said.

Although Newton acknowledged the statue's religious ties, he said Ganesh also holds a wider interpretation as a cultural symbol, much like the eagle in the United States.

"It certainly is important to the Hindu religion, but it's also very much a cultural symbol, and that was certainly the intent here."

The artist who created the statue was also asked to strip certain religious symbols associated with the god, he added.

Newton called the Concerned Christians' approach "the views of a very small minority.

"We don't cater to any particular religion."

Blake said if the statue is not removed, the zoo should be willing to incorporate other religious displays.

"It's not my favourite way of going about it, but we can approach the zoo to see if they are willing to put up, for example, a Noah's ark or perhaps other artifacts from other faiths," Blake said.

We can see here they want christian symbols in the zoo.
Christians never give it a rest, nor learn.

The Pot smoking pastor

A Rocky Mount pastor was charged with illegal drug possession late last week after Halifax County authorities found him with marijuana.

A deputy stopped the Rev. Michael Thompson Friday after the Rocky Mount pastor crossed a center line while driving on U.S. 301 in Enfield. After he approached, the deputy said he smelled marijuana coming from the preacher’s car.

Thompson, 49, volunteered a brown bag after brief questioning containing 23 grams of marijuana and a few cigars.

Thompson, after telling the deputy about his work as pastor, admitted he regularly purchases marijuana every two months but only to smoke, not to sell, according to the police report.

Thompson was cited for possession of more than a half-ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

His court date was set for Oct. 26.

Christian scholar tortured, murdered porn actress

A self-styled preacher and reality star has been charged with torturing and murdering a former adult movie actress.

Brian Lee Randone is accused of suffocating Felicia Lee, 31, inside a Monrovia, Calif., apartment earlier this month. He was charged last week.

Randone, 45, holds a bachelor’s degree from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and a master’s of divinity degree from Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, according to a brief biography on the Baylor University Web site.

In 2000, Randone appeared in the 2000 Fox reality show “The Sexiest Bachelor in America.”

The Gabriel Valley newspaper also said Lee had modeled for videos aimed at the import car subculture and appeared in various magazines and calendars, as well as on Playboy television, according to her now-defunct Web site.

She also appeared in movies like “Rush Hour 2,” “The Fast and the Furious” and adult movies.

Exposing yet another "Ex-Muslim" Christian- Nonie Darwish

I've noticed another trend amongst these evangalists. When you apparently embrace christianity, you also embrace ignorance. The holy spirit makes you another biased person aiming at throwing more lies, myths and hatred at Islam.

By the way all those christian sites who attack Islam on a daily basis have this article. Surprising?

From: http://www.investors.com/NewsAndAnalysis/Article.aspx?id=507056

Multiculturalism: California's educrats have put out new rules for teaching Islamic studies to seventh-graders in public schools, and they are as biased as ever. They'll also likely spread eastward.

The lesson guidelines adopted by the bellwether state whitewash the violence and oppression of women codified in Islamic law, or Shariah. And they're loaded with revisionist history about the faith.

I see, targeting the equal status of women. Another typical christian approach.
But where in Islamic scriptures, or sharia do we have this? Violence and opression? Are we looking at some muslim countries again where they run on cultural and tribal values?

For example, the suggested framework glorifies Shariah as a liberal reform movement that "rejected" the mistreatment of women that existed in Arabia before Muhammad and his successors conquered the region, according to Accuracy in Academia. The guidelines claim that Islamic law established for the first time that men and women were entitled to equal "respect."
Not so, says Islamic scholar and author Nonie Darwish, who grew up Muslim in Egypt.

"I am shocked that that is what they teach," she said. "Women had more rights in Arabia before Shariah."

Funny, the christian media has dubbed another christian a "scholar" on islam.
So here we have another christian tactic/approach. Acting as if the mistreatment of women in pre-islam was just a myth. Oh and do we notice the holy spirit guided lie Nonie presented? It is in the bible for Christians to lie:

Philippians 1:18- But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice.

We know it is a clear fact women were very opressed BEFORE islam. Not being able to work, not geting an education, not being allowed to divorce (actually Jesus in the NT called a woman an adulterer if she divorced her husband) having her husband sleep with hudreds of other women, no inheritance, husband having all the calls (isn't is strange that these are similar to the medevil and elizabethan eras, where christianity was strongly and strictly parcticed?).

Islam honours and respects women. I see's them equal. Nonie's faith on the other hand is the opposite (Ephesians 5:22-24, 1 Peter 3:6, and numerous other NT and not to mention OT verses. See out article on the "The Oppression of Women in Christainity" and how a submission to a man is the same submisison to God (i.e women have to WORSHIP their husbands)): http://answeringchristians.blogspot.com/2009/04/bible-forces-victims-of-rape-to-be.html

In fact, "wife beating is allowed under Shariah" today, she added. "It allows a woman seen without a headdress to be flogged, punishes rape victims, and calls for beheading for adultery."

Well Nonnie, if you were an actual muslim who read hadiths and the Quran, you'd notice 1)islam honours and respects women 2) Those christian women we see today on tv, on the streets who dont wear much, those "bad" and "naughty" girls, they do not exist in islam. Your faith tolerates them (no christian speaks out against these sluts and whores, but in fact actually praise them (ex Miss california 2009). Because in Song Of Solomon and the Sing of Songs, we see a woman using her body to get to a man. Would God really put this into his book?

3) Its a LIGHT beating. Don't believe me? Ask those Whabbi cult followers.

4) Did you know your faith has the most divorces among couples and suicide rates (thats for teens and young children)? Why? Because your faith, that was written by Paul, which has a character named the holy spirit, is guiing ALL christians. Mothers, whom children are more attarcted to (scientific fact) do a TERRIBLE job of raising them. And that doesn't exist in islam either. I suggest you look at the whole verse (not to mention the entire Quran) of 4:34, and not take one word out of it, and then jump to conclusions.

5) Back to Wahabism, in Saud Arabia, they use verse 5:33 (they cut off the hands and ears) if a woman is abused, causing bruises, broken bones and in general PAIN.

6) This FULL verse is TARGETEING "REBELIOUS" women. We can clearly see this is for the RARE minority women.
I've got a full, more detailed response on this, with hadiths and Quranic verses here: http://answeringchristians.blogspot.com/2009/11/exampls.html

Actually, again if you read islamic scriptures, women are not "flogged" for not wearing the hijab. Head covering isn't mention at all in the Quran. Just another set of tribal and cultural beliefs that work in SOME muslim government systems. Women in islam are called to be modest, but they do not get flogged or lashed or ANY type of harsh, cruel beating for such little things.
And rape victims are not punished. I think Nonnie is confusing her own bible with islam:

"If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, he shall pay the girl's father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the girl, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives. (From the NIV Bible, Deuteronomy 22:28)".

Ah yes adultery. Funny how Jesus himself ordered the stoning of adulterers in the OT. Since Christians see Jesus as God, and he revealed the OT to his prophets, he wouldn't reveal a new book that contradicts his first one would he now?
The Quran actually doesn't say anything about stoning, but it does say men and women have equal rights, deeds, and PUNISHMENTS.

Many parentless babies and children are walking around with no hope in the christian country of America. Did you know stats show 90% of americans had pre-martial sex? I guess the holy spirit is planning for many children to be opressed about not having parents.
In John chapter 8, verses 1 through 12, Jesus pardoned a woman for adultery. Many Christians say the same about their sex lives. I don't know why, but Jesus is contradicting his first revelations.

California's course on world religions also omits Islam's long history of jihadist violence, while portraying Christianity as an intolerant and bloodthirsty faith.

Sigh. Whatever drug the person who wrote the article is on, I hope he's been cured.
Isn't it so surprising how its only Christians who some how magically know what Islam is all about? No of course not.
Christians need to educate themselves on Jihad. Its a struggle. For example here in the Christian West, where prostitution, adultery, and alcohol are widely available, we Muslims choose weather to God's commandments or the Christian way of life.
Jihad is also fighting for Islam. Another example is early Islam, where Muslims were ALWAYS under persecution and threats. They had to migrate from place to place for safety.
The Taliban and Al Queda are NOT Jihadists. Their view contradicts the Islamic one. Also there's Mujahideen groups fighting against the extremists, that includes us normal Muslims.

Christianity on the other hand has a history of "jihadist" violence. The Spanish Inqusition, the Spanish Conquest, the Crusades, the Valintines day massacre where the Pope blessed it. And lets not forget the KKK and their massacre of African American's.
How about the original inhabitants of North America? Who came in, killed many, and forced them to embrace Christianity?

Christianity isn't given equal time, either. It's covered in just two days — as opposed to up to two weeks for Islam — and doesn't involve kids in any role-playing activities like the Islam unit.

Students do get a healthy dose of skepticism about the Christian faith, including a biting history of its persecution of other people.

Oh? Are Christians upset about their violent history? Are Christians denying the heavy persecution of non-christians?

Islam, in contrast, gets a pass from critical review. Even jihad is presented as an "internal personal struggle to do one's best to resist temptation," not waging holy war.

Does the Islamic definition of Jihad in any way contradict the bold statement?

"California schools are pushing an unbalanced religious agenda that favors Islam and minimizes Christianity and Judaism," Accuracy in Academia warns in its latest Campus Report.

Okay well ever thought maybe schools are trying to educate kids, teachers, parents and others about what Islam, the world's most misunderstood faith, is actually about?
Maybe you should go back to school and check it out.

Who helped build the California Education Department's framework for Islamic studies? Islamist "scholars" with the Council on Islamic Education, or CIE, a Saudi-tied activist group.

I like how this retard put quotation marks around the word scholar.

The consultancy changed its name after former IBD Washington bureau chief Paul Sperry, author of "Infiltration: How Muslim Spies and Subversives Have Penetrated Washington," exposed that its chief researcher and textbook consultant for years taught social studies at a Saudi madrassa just outside Washington.

The Islamic Saudi Academy is a breeding ground for terrorists, including the valedictorian-turned-al-Qaida agent recently sentenced to life for plotting to assassinate President Bush.

Yeah I doubt that the academy is breeding terrorists. Wouldn't the government know about it, instead of an average christian?
Saudi and the US are for some reason "friends". They share alot with each other. If Wahabi cult are extremists, I guess that can go for the Christians in the US, no?

Recently, Fox News reported that the head of CIE — now known as the Institute on Religion and Civic Values — misled California education authorities about his academic credentials. For one, Shabbir Mansuri never received a USC degree in chemical engineering as he has claimed, Fox says.

Haha "Fox says", "Fox says". Haven't they been refuted many times before? May you show a link to your claim by the way?

The group's Web site no longer includes the claim. These are the folks who are teaching your children about Islam in public schools. Parents have protested, even sued, but to no avail.

For example, parents of seventh-graders in the San Francisco area, who after 9/11 were taught pro-Islamic lessons as part of California's world history curriculum, sued under the First Amendment ban on religious establishment.

Again, you have the world's most misunderstood faith. Do you want children to visit anti Islam sites with all the anti Islam material, not knowing they spread propoganda and hate? So they can become like those christians who shot a Muslim mother to death right infront of her children? Or how about the daily attacks by Christians from the mdedia? Or how about the countless hate crimes Muslims have gone through?
It's not safe for Muslim to live in the Christian West. All because of the holy spirit guiding it's people.

They argued, reasonably, that the government was promoting Islam by mandating that their kids participate in Muslim role-playing exercises such as designing prayer rugs, taking an Arabic name and essentially "becoming a Muslim" for two full weeks.

Children also were told to recite aloud Muslim prayers that begin with "In the name of Allah, most gracious, most merciful," and memorize the Muslim profession of faith: "Allah is the only true God, and Muhammad is his messenger."

But a federal judge appointed by President Clinton told parents in so many words to get over it, that the state was merely teaching kids about another "culture."

California's 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the decision, ruling that it was OK to put public-school kids through Muslim role-playing exercises.

The decision was a major victory for the multiculturalists and Islamic apologists in California and across the country who've never met a culture or religion they didn't like — with the exception of Western civilization and Christianity.

You can't teach the Ten Commandments in public schools. But teaching the five pillars of Islam is A-OK.

But see the thing is Christian propoganda is ALL OVER the continent. Tv shows have christian values, many of them kids programs. Any channel after 12 am televises Pastors propogating the bible. Radio as well. How many stations preach Christianity? The the US currency has christian values. The US government has christian beliefs and values.
The 10 commandments are visible beside a highway from California to Nevada, which by the way is 65% Christian.
There's churches on EVERY corner of the street, with GIGANTIC signs propogating Christianity.
I'd beg to differ with the view of Christianity not functioning in public schools. Throughout North Ameriica, there's bible study groups. And, lets not forget when Christmas nears, kids are forced to sing Christmas songs, and just learn about Christmas in general. Recently Christianofascists are pushing for the government to install a bible class, where we're all gonna be brainwashed about God coming down to earth, out of a 12 year old, making out with his girlfriend (Mary Magdalene), then dying on a cross, and then his spirit controlling and guiding all Christians. And lets not forget about those lovely verses about Women and her submission to her husband (Ephesians 5:22-24, 1 Peter 3:6), her physical features to seduce a guy (Song of Songs and Song of Solomon, See the rest about women oppresion in the link provided not far from the top, below Nonie Darwish's idiocy).

So is this all A-OK to you?

Pastor and wife preyed upon old man

VENTURA, Calif.—A Ventura pastor and his wife have been arrested for allegedly preying on an elderly man who signed over the deed to his home and didn't get paid.
The Rev. Alonzo Gene "Lonnie" McCowan, pastor of the Solid Rock Christian Center, is charged with two counts of theft from an elderly person and two counts of money laundering in an amount that surpassed $500,000. His bail is set at $500,000.

His wife, Kimberly Ann Oglesby McCowan, is charged with single counts of grand theft and money laundering. Her bail is set at $40,000.

The Camarillo couple allegedly got now-86-year-old Leo Gilmond to sign over the deed to his Ventura house, saying the church needed a rental for church dignitaries and students. Gilmond wasn't paid the promised $460,000

Christian couple charged with harassing a muslim female

Holy spirit guided christians are always right.

Ben and Sharon Vogelenzang are charged with breaching Section 5 of the Public Order Act – causing harassment, alarm or distress. If convicted, they face fines of £2,500 each and a criminal record.

The Muslim woman was staying at the Bounty House Hotel in Liverpool, which is run by the Vogelenzangs, when a conversation arose between the hoteliers and their guest about her faith.

It is understood that among the topics debated was whether Jesus was a minor prophet, as Islam teaches, or whether he was the Son of God, as Christianity teaches.

**Well actually our faith teaches ALL prophets were major, good, wise people. Saying a "minor" prophet is actually just another sad christian tactic used**.

Among the things Mr Vogelenzang, 53, is alleged to have said is that Mohammad was a warlord. His wife, 54, is said to have stated that Muslim dress is a form of bondage for women.

** Yes and bikini's and slutty christian clothing shows why the God of the bible (Paul) made them that way.**

The conversation, on March 20, was reported by the woman to Merseyside Police. Officers told the couple that they wanted to interview them over the incident.

After being questioned on April 20, they were interrogated again three months later before being charged on July 29 with a religiously-aggravated public order offence. They appeared in court on August 14 and are now awaiting trial.

Mr and Mrs Vogelenzang do not accept that they were threatening or abusive in any way. David White, who is representing them, said that they believe they have the right to defend their religious beliefs.

**Oh yes I forgot by attacking other faiths, as christianity says, is defending the christian faith**

Their case is being funded by the Christian Institute, which has backed a number of Christians in legal disputes.

A spokesman for the Institute said: "We are funding Ben and Sharon's defence because we believe important issues of religious liberty and free speech are at stake.

**Again attacking and insulting other faiths without any educated responses, is christian speech (freedom of speech)**

"In many instances we have detected a worrying tendency for public bodies to misapply the law in a way that seems to sideline Christianity more than other faiths."

**Yep, by attacking other faiths, and getting in trouble for hurting other beliefs, is "sidlining" christianity**.

A police spokesman said: "Merseyside Police can confirm that Benjamin Vogelenzang and Sharon Vogelenzang, both of Fazakerley, were charged with a religiously-aggravated public order offence on 29 July 2009. This follows an incident on 20 March 2009."

Shall we post yet ANOTHER lie of Rifqa Barry?

This girl is obviously mocking Islam. Its what happens when you become christian. Actually its a command by the holy spirit to spread myths, lies, rumours when you're a christian.

From this article:http://www.tampabay.com/news/courts/rifqas-words-are-clear-but-their-meaning-isnt/1037655

"Imagine the honor in killing me ..." she said. "It's in the Koran."

Oh? Miss Barry where is that? Where is it in hadith? Did you know your new faith says that Jesus told parents to kill disobediant children? Thats honour killing but theres nothing like that in our holy texts.

And I'm crying with laughter that Robert Spencer, the "scholor" on islam gave 2 verses that say support the killing of apostates. Its in the article. All I'm gonna say is that stupid people do stupid things.

5 christian boys attack 16 year old muslim girl

May Allah help her recover and may he protect us all from the bastard christians.

The Michigan Department of Civil Rights said today it is looking into the attack on a 16-year-old Muslim girl of Iraqi descent by five African-American students in Ann Arbor.

The assailants said "(expletive) Arabs, they are dirty," pulled the girl's Islamic headscarf off, and dragged her to a nearby home where she suffered injuries from an assault that required six stitches, the Michigan chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) said Wednesday. The incident started on a school bus, the group said.

At one point, one of the attackers said to the girl: “Why are you wearing a scarf?” according to the group.

Ann Arbor police are interviewing people in the Tuesday incident, Lt. Renee Bush said today.

Kelvin Scott, director of the Civil Rights Department, said he has assigned a crisis response team to find out what happened. An Arab-American employee in his department is looking into the case, he said. Scott said the department’s action is not yet a formal investigation.

Meanwhile, the family of the victim may speak out today, said Dawud Walid, head of Michigan CAIR.

Walid said the attackers were five students.

"We're extremely troubled," Walid said.

"We're asking state and federal authorities to investigate these assaults as hate crimes due to the racial slurs used and that her hijab was pulled off during the assaults."

Some Muslim women wear a headscarf known as a hijab.

The victim's brother also was attacked when he tried to come to her defense, Walid said.

Walid said he contacted the head of the Detroit FBI office about the incident since it involved possible hate crimes.

Rifqa Barry's lies are showing

This is such a joke. Her testemony contradicts, the pastors who took her are haters of islam, the christian media is shoving this into muslims faces, self assured scholors Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller are having the times of their lives lying.

There is ZERO question she's lying. From the so called "beating" to being "forced to wear burka" (in another news feed she says her father punched her for not wearing hijab!!!). You know when one embraces chrisianity, he/she gets the christian package-lies and ignorance, all blessed by the devil to his son Paul.

An investigation is showing theirs NO evidence for Rifqa's claims. Of course christians are loving this fairy tale thats going on, anything that puts Islam in a negative way is heave for them. Watch this:
http://www.tampabay.com/video/?bctid=40140420001&p=2652468001

Oh and did you know the lawyer representing Rifqa's parents is an EVANGECAL ATTORNEY? Lets see what he has to say:

"It will astonish many fellow conservatives as well as many on the left to learn that I, an evangelical Christian, have vigorously defended Rifqa Bary's mother in court. And I believe that my former client's cause is just."

So we have here the christian attorney saying Rifqa is the wrong one.

Lets read a comment from a poll about "Is the case of Fathima Rifqa Bary, the runaway teenage convert, getting too much attention?":

"This story has gotten the wrong kind of attention. The media, including the Dispatch, have engaged in sensationalist, biased coverage, making the story about supposed persecution of Christians, without examining the facts at all. In truth it is a private family matter and once it was determined the girl was safe that should have been the end of it. Once sensational lies with no foundation in fact were reported in a biased fashion that smeared the Muslim community in Columbus, then coverage was necessary to set the record straight. Columbus is clearly still a cow town where people operate on a narrow view of the world, totally out of touch with reality. Is shames us all."

Krista Bartholomew, the guardian for Rifqa in the court has this to say about the anti-islam christian media:

"It is absolutely not in the best interests of the child to have this paraded around in the media," said Krista Bartholomew, the attorney appointed as Rifqa's guardian ad litem to represent her best interests in court. Bartholomew spoke during a Sept. 3 court hearing in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida, proposing a gag order that was ultimately applied only to attorneys in the case.

"There are people who have made their own decisions and paraded this out," she said.

So even the ones defending Rifqa are fed up with the christian media.

Theres groups that are on faceboo, one for Rifqa, and one for her Father. I think we all know what the one for Rifqa would be like. "Lets take Quran verses and hadiths out of context to make us look smart! Oh and while at it, lets take pictures and videos, and maybe some news about women in afghanistan! All for the mighty holy spirit!"

Another pastor charged with fraud

A Portland clergyman faces possible prison time for helping the owner of a mail-order divorce business evade $220,345 in taxes, a scheme that put an illegal tithe in the pastor's pockets.

Maximo Garza, the 46-year-old pastor of Victory Outreach Church of Portland, pleaded guilty today in U.S. District Court to aiding the preparation of a false tax return, a felony that carries a penalty of up to three years in prison. His sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 11.

Garza did not return a phone call to the church seeking comment about his plea. The church referred questions about Garza to the assistant pastor, who declined comment.

Pastor shoots teen

The holy spirit activity continues.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Police said a pastor opened fire outside of a northeast side church on Thursday, hitting a teenager in the shoulder.

La'queven Cook, 17, said he and his girlfriend were arguing Thursday outside the New Jerusalem Baptist Church, located on Joyce Avenue. That argument led to an altercation involving several people at the church.

The pastor went inside and returned with a gun, 10TV's Brittany Westbrook reported.

Church smuggled money in for crime in the US

Again do I need to make it any clearer? Another form of the christian sharia (a very oppressive one) is rocketing.

SAO PAULO, BRAZIL — It was Saturday night and the cool crowd in the upscale Moema neighborhood was stepping out — to church.

“We are not square,” a self-proclaimed reformed addict and former biker turned preacher said amid a blur of strobe and laser lights, “because Jesus is not square!”

Welcome to the Reborn in Christ Church, the hippest of Brazil’s booming “neo-Pentecostal” denominations, which fuse faith and sales in a high-pressure pitch at churches, over the airwaves and on the Internet.

Renascer, as the church is known in Portuguese, was a pioneer, introducing services in roller skates and Christian mega-concerts and wooing celebrities in a slick and successful campaign aimed largely at middle- class youths.

But a funny thing happened along the sect’s rock-and-rolling journey toward salvation.

Brazilian authorities have accused Renascer of massive fraud, calling the church a personal enrichment scheme for its leaders and their cronies.

The sensational case has focused attention on the church and its financial empire at a time when an evangelical boom has altered the cultural, social and political landscape of Latin America’s largest nation. Protestant denominations introduced by U.S. missionaries more than a century ago have cut into the Vatican’s traditional primacy and now account for 15% of the population.

The fastest-growing are the so-called neo-Pentecostal sects that practice a singular mix of old-time religion and contemporary marketing. These include Renascer and its more established competition, the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God, which also has faced accusations of funding irregularities.

In January, Renascer’s husband-and-wife founders — “Apostle” Estevam Hernandes, 52, an ex-marketing executive who blasted saxophone riffs from the pulpit, and “Bishopess” Sonia Haddad Moraes Hernandes, 48, a homemaker-turned-theologian — were arrested on cash-smuggling charges as they arrived in Miami.

U.S. customs authorities said the couple were carrying $56,467, including $9,088 stuffed into a Bible, $9,700 in a CD case, and $10,000 in their son’s backpack.

The pair, later freed on bail, had been flagged on a U.S. watch list “for suspicion of money laundering and fraud related to Brazilian organized crime,” a U.S. affidavit said.

Brazilian authorities call the church a “criminal enterprise” and are trying to extradite the couple. They accuse them of siphoning off millions of dollars in followers’ funds for personal enrichment. Prosecutors say the couple used donations to buy homes, horse farms and other luxuries, as well as to set up shell companies and laundering schemes to conceal their “great riches.”

Later in the storey:

“Renascer until I die!” she shouted defiantly into the microphone. “Sword for the Lord! Sword for the apostle!”

Christian "sharia" well on the rise

The soon to be once again the christian country of the US is rapidly becoming more and more clear. And i dont know why many americans deny the US is a christian state when all the evidence is pointing against them.

DALLAS — Some Texas school districts are scrambling to interpret a state law that requires public schools to incorporate Bible literacy into the curriculum.

The Legislature provided little guidance and no funding for materials or teacher training when it passed the law in 2007 requiring Bible literacy to be taught starting in the 2009-2010 school year.

The law doesn't require schools to offer a Bible course, although they can offer it as an elective, Attorney General Greg Abbott has said. However, schools must provide some sort of lessons, he said. The result is that some schools are offering elective classes, while others are embedding Bible literacy into current courses.

Religious scholars and confused educators warn that the nebulous law may have thwarted its purpose — to examine the Bible's influence in history and literature. To ensure religious neutrality, legislators mandated teacher training, state-approved materials and curriculum standards that the attorney general considered adequate. However, lawmakers did not specify what that training would include or provide funding.

The state Board of Education provided little additional guidance. It said the curriculum for independent studies classes in English and social studies already covered the biblical material. Texas Education Agency officials said they did not request funding because materials and training were already covered for those two courses.

"This unfunded mandate to teach more about the Bible is a recipe for confusion in Texas classrooms," said Charles Haynes, senior scholar at the First Amendment Center. "Bible literacy is important, but public school teachers need guidance on how to teach about the Bible in ways that are both constitutionally and educationally sound."

The bill's sponsor, Rep. Warren Chisum, R-Pampa, blames the education agency for the confusion.

"TEA had the duty to prepare teachers to teach the course, but they neglected to request funds," he said. "I assumed the funds were there."

Pastor imported slave for sex

Sigh... where do I begin?

Leviticus 25:44-46 "Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves. You may also buy some of the temporary residents living among you and members of their clans born in your country, and they will become your property. You can will them to your children as inherited property and can make them slaves for life, but you must not rule over your fellow Israelites ruthlessly."

"If a man beats his male or female slave with a rod and the slave dies as a direct result, he must be punished, but he is not to be punished if the slave gets up after a day or two, since the slave is his property. (From the NIV Bible, Exodus 21:20-21)"

Matthew 10:24 "A student is not greater than the teacher. A slave is not greater than the master."

1 Peter 2:18 "Slaves, submit yourselves to your masters with all respect, not only to those who are good and considerate, but also to those who are harsh."

NEW ORLEANS — An appeals court has upheld the conviction of a Texas pastor accused of bringing a woman from Kenya to the U.S. to be his sex slave.

James Cornell Clark, 57, was sentenced to 10 years in 2007 on a charge of importing an alien for immoral purposes. A panel of the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the conviction and sentence Thursday.

Clark's attorney had argued that the term "immoral purposes" is unconstitutionally vague.

Clark, who was a minister at Mount Vernon United Methodist Church in Lubbock, met his victim in 2005 and months later arranged for her to travel to Texas. She enrolled at South Plains College in Levelland, and prosecutors say Clark frequently threatened to have her deported if she didn't have sex with him.

Christianist Plane highjacker "looked for God"

And even more evidence the opressive christian sharia is making its return. Oh where's the christian media?

A Bolivian religious fanatic who claimed he had a bomb briefly hijacked a jetliner from the beach resort of Cancun as it landed in Mexico City.

All passengers and the crew were later released unharmed.

The Bible-carrying hijacker used a juice can he said was a bomb to hold the 103 passengers and crew on the tarmac for more than an hour before masked police stormed the aircraft with guns drawn and escorted several handcuffed men away without firing a shot.

Police later said there was only one hijacker, and the other men aboard were detained because the suspect had told a flight attendant he had three accomplices. The others were quickly released.

Jose Flores, 44, later told police his three companions were "the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost".

Flores hijacked Aeromexico Flight 576 after a divine revelation, according to Public Safety Secretary Genaro Garcia Luna. Flores said the date - 9-9-09 - was the satanic number 666 turned upside down.

Flores, speaking to reporters after he was detained, said he took control of the aircraft with "a juice can... with some little lights I attached".

As the plane was landing, Flores stood up and showed his contraption to a flight attendant, Mr Garcia Luna said.

Mr Garcia Luna said Flores is a drug addict who was convicted of armed robbery in Bolivia, and has lived in Mexico for 17 years. Flores described himself as a pastor in southern Oaxaca state who had gone to Cancun to preach.

He is also a Christian music singer who in videos posted on YouTube sings of leaving drugs and finding God.

"Jesus is not God" causes controversy

Christian Sharia alert

So much for freedom of speech. But the practicing rate of christianity is very low, and usually christians won't care. Signs like these mean an oppressive law is about to make its return.

Best-selling author Philip Pullman is to publish a controversial new book that will explore the possibility that Jesus was not the son of God.

The writer of the His Dark Materials trilogy will tell a different account of the life of Jesus in The Good Man Jesus and the Scoundrel Christ, which claims that Paul the apostle made up the story about his divine link.

"Paul was a literary and imaginative genius of the first order who has probably had more influence on the history of the world than any other human being, Jesus certainly included. I believe this is a pity," said Pullman.

He added that parts of the new book will read like a novel, parts like a fairy tale and parts like a history text, which he designed because it is "a story about how stories become stories".

The book is to be released next Easter as part of Scottish independent publisher Canongate's Myths series.

Pullman is no stranger to courting religious controversy as His Dark Materials sparked criticism from many religious groups due to its so-called anti-Christian message.

However, the author has described himself as a passionate believer in "the democracy of reading" and that it is not the task of the author to tell the reader what it means

Christianist dumps garbage over mentally disabled boy

Ah yes the relationship of children and opression. Very common in the bible. This is yet just another sign of the creeping christian sharia.

GOLDEN, Colo. -- An assistant pastor at Red Rocks Baptist Church in Morrison faces charges of neglect with an at-risk person.

According to an arrest warrant, Jason Smoker, 36, allegedly dumped trash on a mentally handicapped volunteer after the volunteer was forced to lie down blindfolded in the church parking lot.

Smoker was not satisfied with the way the church volunteer cleaned out a church van and used trash from the van to pour on him, according to the arrest warrant.

The alleged incident occurred on Aug. 27, 2008, and Smoker has since been put on probation by the church, which is located at 14711 Morrison Road.

The affidavit said Smoker told assistant pastor Ben Klaus that he was going to "disciple" (sic) the volunteer and discussed how he was going to do it. According to the affidavit, Klaus told him he didn't think it was an effective form of discipline, but didn't tell him not to do it.

However, Krista Nash, a spokeswoman for Red Rocks Baptist Church, said Klaus had no prior knowledge of the alleged assault.

"Certain media reports have suggested that Pastor Ben Klaus of our church had knowledge of the complained-of events before they occurred. However, such reports are incorrect. The information to correct this misimpression has been communicated to and received by the Jefferson County District's Attorney's office," the church said in a statement issued Friday. (Read full statement.)

When Klaus learned that Smoker carried out the discipline, Klaus informed church pastor Les Heinze, who said he would take care of it. The incident was not reported to police and the Jefferson County Crimes Against Children unit began an investigation on June 8, 2009, when it received a tip.

Smoker was arrested Aug. 28, after turning himself in to authorities.

Heinze issued a formal letter to Smoker, calling his behavior in the incident "completely unacceptable" and said his actions "displayed a lack of judgment," the affidavit stated.

The arrest affidavit did not state the age of the volunteer. Initially, it was believed that the volunteer was a juvenile, since the case was being investigated by the Jefferson County District Attorney's Crime Against Children Unit.

However, the church said that the volunteer is an adult.

"It is our position that the actions of Jason Smoker, which occurred in August of 2008 against a church member who has developmental disabilities, were completely unacceptable and do not reflect the Christian character espoused by Red Rocks Baptist Church," the church said in the statement.

"Because we considered this to be a serious act against a fellow church member, we consulted with an attorney at the time to determine if this was an incident that should be reported to the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office. We were advised that this was not a reportable offense because the church member who was assaulted was over the age of 18 at the time of the incident. Therefore, we followed our internal policies and took swift action against Jason Smoker, including severe reprimand, changes in duties and job status, and a lengthy disciplinary process," the church said.

"The person upon whom this act was perpetrated is kind and gentle, and he continued to volunteer his time at the church until very recently. We deeply regret the incident," the statement continued. "Mr. Smoker is no longer employed by Red Rocks Baptist Church."

What we see here is just plain and simple excuses churches throw. A murder, a rape and more christian jihad will go by, but all we can hear is "Unacceptable".

Christianist attended "Bible Study Group"

A new wave of christian jihad is rising.

They met in one another’s homes on Saturdays, their Sabbath, for potluck dinners and scripture study sessions.

Among the topics: The Old Testament, their Hebrew roots and the “secret societies” attempting to control government and culture.

Among the members: Scott Roeder, the Kansas City man accused of killing Wichita abortion doctor George Tiller.

As the investigation continues into whether Roeder acted alone in Tiller’s May 31 death, members of the study group have found themselves in the spotlight, showing up on the witness list for the prosecution and being interviewed by the FBI.

Even a rabbi at an Overland Park congregation of Messianic Jews has been questioned, although Roeder’s group broke away after some members were asked to leave the synagogue.

“People are trying to make something out of nothing,” said Michael Clayman, an attorney who was host for the group for a time in his Merriam home.

“It was like any other Bible study around town. It was a bunch of guys having spaghetti and meatballs, talking about philosophy. It wasn’t a bunch of Jim Jones people meeting or drinking Kool-Aid or plotting things. No cult, no nothing.”

The group does help explain the foundation of some of Roeder’s beliefs, which included distrust of government and opposition to abortion.

Those attending the study group describe themselves as Messianic Jews who, unlike mainstream Jews, believe that Jesus was the Messiah. Some people who call themselves Messianic Jews, such as Roeder, are not Jewish.

Messianic Jews observe many Jewish customs, including dietary laws and holidays.

In a recent interview, Roeder said he “had become a believer” around 1992.

I converted, born again to Christianity,” he said. “I guess you could say Messianic, or turned to Jesus, Yeshua, as my Savior.” He said Messianic believers such as himself had gone “back to our Hebrew roots.”

Roeder said he preferred going to a study group instead of a more formal religious setting because “organized religion is 501(c)3 tax-exempt organizations, which are businesses.”

“We stay away from them,” he said, adding that religious organizations receiving tax-exempt status become corrupt because they are beholden to the government.

Roeder and other members of the Bible study used to attend the Or HaOlam Messianic Congregation in Overland Park but split off, some said, because the leaders did not want to hear their talk about Freemasons and other “secret societies.”

They also didn’t approve of Or HaOlam being registered as a nonprofit corporation with the state of Kansas.

Rabbi Shmuel Wolkenfeld of the Or HaOlam congregation confirmed that Roeder and the others left over disagreements

The lying pastor

So do you all remember Blake Lorenz? The new father of Riqfa Barry? This article says Blake is not "anti-islamic"-http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/orl-rifqa-lorenz-090109,0,6041010,full.story:

The accusations against them, Blake Lorenz said, aren't true. And they're not anti-Muslim.

"I'm pro-Jesus," he said. "And Jesus tells us to love everybody. I do my best to try to do that. And we're praying for her parents and for healing and reconciliation."

Okay but if i do recall Blake mentioned Islam is evil and is at war with christianity? Liar. Oh well its not surprising. He is a holy spirit guided christian.
Hmm and look what he says. He's praying for Riqfa and her parents for reconcilation? But isn't Blake the one fighting for Rifqa's custody? This whole fairy tale keeos on getting more ridiculous.

You know I'm noticing from the comments theres many people who agree with me on this issue. This storey is just simply not making any sense. One comment that struck me was by a person saying how many women die of domestic abuse in the christian nation America, but when a muslim women gets something done to her its automatically "islamic" or for "honour". Its the christian west that makes some muslims think the way they do (honour killing, whatever).

What has not been answered: The truth about Rifqa Barry

Well I'm sure many of us have heard about this muslim teen who converted to christianity and fled the southern US to escape what the christian media has called an "honour killing". And this has been around 24/7 especially on christian sites trying to show their version of islam. Theres 3 reasons why christians are obsessing about this- 1) To show muslims about this 2) To show why people convert to christianity from Islam (they never give a valid reason) 3) We all know Islam has the fastest growth rate among converts. And it is a fact that a majority are women. They want to show women in islam convert to christianity and "expose" the faith.

1) Rifqa has been kinda of a christian for 4 years. Her parents knew she had something to do with christianity because she carried a bible with her. And her parents didn't kill her. When they found out she was a christian they didn't harm her at all. She ran away and made claims. There is zero evidence theres truth to Rifqa's claims. Many friends of the family deny Rifqa's accusations.

2) Rifqa claims she was forced to wear the burka. There's no videos/photos of this except her being a clothless cheerleader and dancing for hungry christian boys.

3) Rifqa says she was beaten and abused often (these claims are actually from anti-islam sites Jihadwatch and Atlas Shrugs). There is again zero evidence for this. And there is no history of family violence. I think Rifqa and her friends would have spoken up. Oh did you know Rifqa's friends haven't even commented on Rifqa's accusations?

4) Pamela Geller (of Atlas Shrugs) has said Rifqa was opressed and didn't have any love nor care. Okay when Rifqa was a baby she fell and has her right eye blinded by a toy in Sri Lanka. The doctors only could do so much there and Rifqa's father, Mohammed insisted she be better so he moved the family to the US where baby Rifqa became healthy. Why didn't the father let her suffer? Also Mohammed moved the family to a rich suburb with excellant schooling. Why? I thought you christians said women in Islam shouldn't get an education? In addition to this, Mohammed bought her presents, like the laptop due to her good grades. Tell ne christians what kind of father is this? Didn't prophet Muhammed pbuh say those who care and love their daughters will be heaven bound?

5)Rifqa on her facebook account has numerous evangalists as friends. Including a couple Blake and Beverly Lorenz who, ironically, she has fled to and is staying with them. And moreover the christian couple are the ones fighting for Rifqa's custody.

6) The christian couple had been quiet for awhile until Mohammed contacted police about his daughter. And thats when Blake and Beverly spoke up.

7) The christian couple have bee quoted saying Islam is evil and Christianity is at war with Islam (see quotes below). I dont think they just all of a sudden said this. Christians, like we've said before, would do anything to get more followers of Paul. Even maybe target young muslim women vi internet social networks.

Here are some good read articles:

http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/orl-bary-family-in-columbus-083009,0,4902721.story - From here:

People who know the Barys say Rifqa's allegations are crazy.

"There is no way this man would hurt his daughter," said Neil Javery, 52, a Hindu and family friend in Westerville, the Columbus suburb where the Barys live.

"Mohamed Bary, 47, is a kind, gentle man who loves his daughter, takes great pride in Rifqa's school accomplishments."

http://www.wesh.com/news/20672163/detail.html

http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/orl-mike-thomas-muslim-082309,0,4011678.column - This is a bit bias against Islam but nonetheless, it speaks on Rifqa. From this article:

Blake has been quoted as saying Christians are at war with Islam and that Islam is evil. And those who share that view have embraced this case.

Rifqa has been putting up a good act to make the view of Islam in the christian west more favourable.
